Thanks beaniebabe, I am still very nervous!

pinknico, I think we are all very nervous, this is like a minefield, but by what you have been told, you case appears to be ok. I do also recall reading somewhere it would not go to fscs if it was unsuccessful.

So Di you had a loan and then paid this off with another loan? The second loan was mis sold and won? But the first loan PPI was on the second loan and this was not refunded?

    Yes you got it Pinknico.;)
As the first loan was brokered by Twopart, even though I did originally complain about the 2 of them to the FOS, where they resolved on the 2nd one a few months after we remortgaged, they said we had to go to Twopart to get the first one sorted out.

Then of course as we tried that was when we found out they had liquidated.

Is this because a bit of the first loan PPI was still on the second loan? And the FOS only dealt with the second loan PPI?
Or have I missed something? Which is normal!

Not too sure to be honest Pinknico....., but even though they did give a substantial rebate because we taken out a loan advance with them, it carries over so much perhaps, I have not got a clue.
Yes the FOS only dealt with the 2nd loan, as he said the first one was a different broker and had to go through them for the mis selling on that one (Twopart).

So there may be remnants of the first PPI on whatever loans you had afterwards and Deloitte want to calculate any interest you have /had been paying on it:confused:

Yes maybe, I know they said they need the details of how the 2nd loan was settled, which was settled when we remortgaged in Sept 07 thought it was August but it was the 1st Sept 07.

So what we done was given them details of both Nemo account numbers and the Chelt and Glos for the mortgage, just to cover it all.

Maybe its just a procedure thing that they ask for these details, not sure, but even though my 2nd loan ppi was not resolved before we remortgaged, so we still have to include the loan to settle this, but was still paid out afterwards on the ppi, I asked them due to curiosity of why they require the details on the 2nd one, when its the first one through the broker we are pursusing and the 2nd one already resolved.

I am well curious on this.
But FOS pay out 8% statutory interest for things like this so that would not be the reason and it seems the FSCS don't (according to mammamia) so they do compensate (or so it seems) by paying interest on what you remortgage to and your next one was the Nemo loan which you had 8% on. I really cannot understand.
