Is there any bank you have NEVER had an issue with

I've been with the Co-op bank for donkey's years (I'm an old git, too
) and never had any problems or issues. They are getting a little more 'pushy' on trying to upsell new products, but as the last time they did that I saved over £200 pa on home insurance, that's not a big complaint
I also use Triodos, but that's more because of their ethical stance than anything. Again, great service.A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone - Thoreau0 -
I don't think that's right that Halifax isn't a popular choice on here.
Maybe you're restricting your findings to a thread with only 1500 views and 62 (now 62) posts. Search MSE as a whole and you'll find that Halifax and Natwest are two worse banks, moaned about daily, clear in black and white.

Been with HSBC since I was about 13 so about 12 years. Can't think of a single time I've ever had an issue with them that hasn't been sorted quickly. And they've always been good to me. Wanted a Switch card at 18 - they gave me one. Wanted a credit card - they gave me one. Needed to get a £1000 loan - again, done with no fuss. Their online banking is also one of the best imo.
Opened a Halifax account in March. So may be early days yet.
Moved to them from:
Alliance and Leicester.
Awful. Within a year I had racked up over £200 worth of charges thanks to them f**king things up. Left the moment I could. Will be putting in a claim for that but I'd never go back to to them.0 -

To be honest, it's not about being good to you - it's about you meeting certain criteria that you're good for them. You'd likely find that any other bank would offer you exactly the same thing. What would William Shatner do?0
