Im totally with you
I really shouldnt make this public, But think they should make them more dangerous to kill off smokers quicker and then ban them.....ok its a bit harsh but im totally sick of being forced to either sit in my house or breath in harmful toxins for my unborn baby
its discgusting, and smokers should be more considerate and smoke in a gasmask or just die off
and just to totally !!!! you off i smkoked when i was pregnant with both my kids and they are fine, both good birth weights etc etc.
come on, tell me i bred a couple of defective children. are you going to say my kids occasionally misbehave because i smoked.
are you also from the no-smacking brigade and would rather see little 'jimmy' [for arguments sake] stick his fingers in a dangerous socket [i have socket covers, just using this as an example] or the short sharp shock treatment as opposed to the voltage shock treatment?
i do what i want when i want because I CAN. i wont be bleated to by do-gooders and the like.
whats wrong with thi9s country is the involvement of do-gooders telling all and sundry how one should behave and how one should bring up their kids and now we are overrun with unruly little !!!!!!.There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
Can I just ask what is bigotted about asking to not be smoked around because
a) it's harmful
b) it's unpleasent.
That's all I'm (and most of us non-smokers) are asking - to not be smoked around. That's all. Nothing more. I certainly haven't asked that all smokers be lined up and shot, though I know people who do think that.
Rather than comparing unrelated issues, how about a new thread on the effects of vehicular polution and what could be done about it? Or anything else for that matter?
P.S. went to Worcester this morning for an optician appointment. Drove there in my poluting car. Had to, otherwise I'd have spent the night walking and wouldn't make it work on time. Obviously, parked in the car park and not right slap-bang in the middle of the shopping centre. Inhaled smoke the entire time I was outdoors despite my best efforts to walk around the smokers. Things is, for every one I walked around, I walked into another. And there they were, outside WH Smith's doorway so there smoke was blowing into the shop. Could I have avoided them? Well no, I'd really rather look after my sight if it's all the same to all you ardent smokers.
your type will only be happy when us smokers are only allowed to venture outdoors to do our shopping etc in the dead of night when those of you who are so clean you gleam are fast asleep in your comfy bed dreaming of wearing your angels wings. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -

We might just might give you a little more respect
Nicotine not a drug? LOL
Is this country alone, there are 100,000 people a year dying from smoking. Deaths from Heroin are relatively low compared to that.0 -

Surprisingly enough, quite possibly:Children exposed to maternal smoking during pregnancy had higher psychiatric symptom rates for conduct disorder, alcohol abuse, substance abuse, and depression. Those children whose mothers smoked at least 1 pack of cigarettes per day during their pregnancy had symptom rates that were between 1.4 and 2.5 (median, 2.0) times higher than the children of nonsmokers. Smoking during pregnancy was also associated with a series of adverse or disadvantageous factors that included (1) socioeconomic disadvantage, (2) impaired child-rearing behaviors, and (3) parental and family problems. After adjustment for these confounding and selection factors, smoking during pregnancy was significantly associated with an increased rate of conduct disorder symptoms in late adolescence (P<.001).
