Cheers all!
I find it all very interesting.
I have very recently got back together with my first love i guess you could call him. haha. I'm 22, he's about to turn 26 which makes it interesting when talking about the future and possibilities. Plus, we both own our own homes which makes things even more interesting!0 -
We moved in together after 6 weeks, and got engaged after 3 years, but had a baby in between, and have now been married for 3 years and have had another baby !!The two best things I have done with my life

Why do your ages and the fact you own your own homes make it more interesting? (sorry didn't mean to sound rude was just wondering)
I was with my ex for about 1 year before we got engaged, then we moved in together and saved for a further year for the wedding.
I think it depends entirely on the couple, circumstances etc... I'm sure there's not right and wrong with this sort of thing.
Glad you have been reunited with your sweetheart0 -

Just because it's not like we could rent a property for 6 mnths, try it out and then move on if it didnt work out. One of us might well need to sell up first!
Also, the age thing isn't a problem it just makes our outlook different sometimes. To him, gettin engaged and married is something he wants whereas to me i think ive got ages for all that! Especially, as alot of my circle of friends arent engaged yet whereas most of his are in the middle of getting married.
Hence, my question. :j0 -
OH & I got engaged after about a year I think. It was pretty fast, and looking back, I think getting married was a bit quick too! We'd been together 3.5 years when we married. I was very young at the time, and I did a lot of growing up while engaged, and then a lot more while married. It made it a lot more difficult, but we got through it. From my experience, I'd say age should be the more important factor, not time together. My 17 year old self (how old I was when I married!) would have told you that she wasn't going to change, and that she knew what she wanted etc though.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

We started living together within weeks - less than a month.
We were engaged pretty soon after, before my divorce came through:o (I was seperated when we met).
We were married about a year & a half later, but would have been quicker but divorce took longer than expected.
I was 24 when I met him, I'm 41 now:D
I've only lived with 2 men, both of whom I've married - just in case anyone thinks I rush into living with any Tom, !!!!!! or Harry:eek:
We were just drawn to each other & knew it was right:smileyhea0 -
