My OH is going away for 6 months, and he squashed a total monster on the wall, and just LEFT IT THERE! i've got to look at it every night until it dries up and drops off

I'm not as bad as I used to be. I couldn't even touch a spider picture in a book when I was younger. Now, I can tolerate small to mediumish ones - can't do the glass/card thing, needs to be an aerosol cap/lid and card, so I can't see it. Our old house had the biggest brown hairy spiders in it, did try the vacumn cleaner a few times, but they were quite big so made quite a racket going up the metal tube. OH can move them outside, but even he doesn't like them.

When I still stayed at home, me and OH came home one night. I put the light on in my bedroom to be faced with the biggest house spider ever - it's body wasn't that big, but it's legs were massive in length. Not going to tell you how big it was, but OH had to go and get one of those tough plastic ice cream tubs to get it out. It was when mobiles didn't have camera facilities in them and I didn't have a film in my camera, wish I'd got a pic of it.
