They have a savers account that pays 5% but only for a year and the minimum you can put in a month is £25, they also have a bigger higher interest one but you need £2500 to open it :eek:My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »I bought Benjamin this Very Hungry Caterpillar toy today:

And the book of course - nobody is taking the hint and buying Benjamin the book!!!0 -
I was just reading another thread and it suddenly just clicked in my head that I may have a case for the CSA to chase the girls mothers for contributions to their upbringings.
I know little about the CSA and whether mothers can be chased too, but no-one has ever advised me about the CSA, so I never really thought about it. It goes to show how many things you need to think of as a parent
I've no intention of chasing their mothers for money as I don't want them in their lives and neither do they, but it's just made me think. Bizarre
Sorry for the waffle. I had to type it down to re-read what I was thinking0 -
I've always found that weird MotM, if the father has sole custody then surely the absent mother SHOULD be paying CSA, because if it was the other way around you can bet your brass buttons that would be the first Q everyone would ask, like on benefit forms/tax credits etc. Plus it's kinda just accepted that the absent FATHER pays CSA, I'm sure women get off with it lightly, but more often than not it's the father who doesn't get custody.
Bit of a waffle there. It's late!
I'm trying to get Keira to pronouce things clearer, I think it's normal for a 3year old not to be able to do that though isn't it? Anyways when she says chocolate it sounds like C**K. When she was at my mums the other week she was wanting chalk to draw on Ellie's chalkboard, she asked my mum for some "C**K please" Please tell me she will eventually be able to say that....it's embarrassing!
She also can't pronounce tongue, comes out like KONG....I'm such a worry wart.0 -

Nobody has ever mentioned it to me, ever. I wouldn't want their money anyway, just because it means they are in their lives. Anyway, I suspect the first one is shacked up with some no hoper and the second one the same, but on some kind of drug  Not much change from them
I had the same issues with c**k. Chocolate was c**k c**k and a fox was fu...yeahI randomly thought the other day "I wonder if MOTM can/does get CS from the absent mothers" Its something most associate with absent fathers isn't it, people don't really like the thought that a mother could leave their child (I personally don't understand how any parent can not want to be with their child)
I have no idea how anyone would want to leave their child, but in a bizarre way, i'm glad I met two that did. Not for the hurt it caused, but I believe they are better off without them. Not just me, all our friends as well.
My problem, i've always been attracted to troubled women. It's not an ego thing where I think I can save them, but more of a wanting too.
Another story, another thread sometime, I don't want to make myself sad:rolleyes::cool:

The October issue of Prima Baby will apparently have discounts for Mothercare, Mamas & Papas and JoJo Maman Bebe in it. Doesn't say what they are yet but it might be worth holding out on making any non-urgent purchases until then. Issue is out on 22 Sept but I'll tell you what the offers are when I get my subscription copy
I've finally gotten around to reading this after not getting a free minute for days. Rhys has been lying in his crib bleating for well over an hour.. I put up with it for so long, went through feeding, changing, rocking, putting dummy back in repeatedly before I told OH to get his !!!! in here and go through the slow torture with me!0 -
I do worry a lot, probably too much....I get very OCD about things once they get into my head. I understand her perfectly but others probably don't, like she misses out "the" a lot and replaces it with "a" or an "i" sound, I think that might be lazy Scots slang though as my mum will say "It's going to be cold iday" so when Keira sings a song - like the wonderpets theme.
It's wonderpets, wonderpets, on "a" way, to help XYZ to save "i" day.
I try not speak slang around her, and apart from that everyone actually comments on how posh she is, she even says pardon...snob
Aw, MotM, you sounds like a really nice guy, and your girls must be so proud to have you as a dadI always think you don't need two parents if you have 1 great one, both my parents were pretty abysmal, so I strive to be the opposite.
Nothing wrong with wanting to save people. I think it's only human nature.0 -
