I've felt like this on and off since Elliot was born, i have good weeks then bad weeks. I don't want to talk to my gp about it, i'm worried she'll think i'm not coping with him and i don't want him taken away from me.

I can't even begin to explain what's going on in my head....there's too much going on and I can't relax properly, a lot of the time i struggle to get to sleep even though i'm exhausted :(

Please speak to your GP or HV they will not take Elliot away from you. Before you go write a list of your symptoms including the sleep problems. You will probably be given a prescription for anti depressants if you are you needto take them for a few weeks before they take effect. I had PND last time around and thankfully I'm symptom free this time. It is a very isolating condition. The sleep problems make it even worse. Good luck in finding the strength to get the support you need and deserve. Please PM if I can help futher.

    Oh no!

I didn't pull the flap of my nursing bra down far enough, and poor Molly's just come off the breast with a big red crease down her face :(

She looks like a pirate with a big swashbuckling scar. I'm a Bad Mummy.

    hi everyone.
ive been tyrin to post since about 11!!!!!
everytime i get to sit down and catch up again, something happens: Katie falls or Christopher starts to cry (trapped wind i think!), then wahisn machine finishes so put tumble on (absoloutely pouring down here!!! yuck!!) then i sit down and door goes......you can ee where im going with this, cant you!!
    so, here i am!!

redmel - thanks for letting me know about the variflo teats - i got 2 last night in tesco, and so far, feeding is better.so fingets crossed it continues! :)

keely - i remember feeling how you did when DD was approcahing 1 -- i know you have different circumstances than me, but chatting on mse helped me, and i didnt even realise there was a parent thread at the time. no point feeling alone - when there is lotsa of parents on here that have probably at one time or another went through what you are going through. I know you said youu didnt want to go down the medication route - the way i tend to think about it is, i dont want my baby to cry, but gettig jabs to make sure he is prevented from getting anything more serious is beneficial, IFSWIM? Im not very good at explaingin myself very well.

Community midwive was out for last time with me this morning, she took blood tests off christopher as he is still a tad jaundiced. so wants to ensure there is nothing wrong with his liver.

OH let me have a lovely lie-in this mornin altho midwive appeared at 10am and rudely awoke me!! but after she went he made breakfast, was lovely!!! :)

but about to make my way over to the baby weight shifting club thread.......tomorrow Christopher is 2weeks old !! cant beieve it. and i want to get back into shape. Im fitting into my old pre-pregnancy clothes, but they are 14-16, and i would ideally like to be 12-14....wish me luck (considering i just ate a bag of chocolate buttons before logging on!!!!! lol. imgonna need some willpower!):rotfl:
    Carla-Farla!! :)

Mummy to Katie (27.11.07) and Christopher (05.08.09) ♥♥

She does actually have an oval hole, I never noticed it myself until I actually looked for it IYGWIM?

I'm just hoping it will fix itself, since she doesn't have it in her mouth anymore? It's all my fault though :(

I'll try her with the fishsticks today, god knows she could use some omega 3, and she better eat my mac n cheese tonight or else....!!

Keely, I won't harp on about medication, you know best if it is for you or not. Can I ask what effect they have had on your sister? There are several different types, and bad reactions are quite rare.

  • Hi ladies!

I haven't been around in ages as mummyhood has been keeping me busy (as well as colic :()

Anyhoo, just to let you know that I had an unexpected package from Emma Jane this morning with 2 nursing tops in to test. :j They are vest tops, and the price tags are £22 and £24 .
I applied to be on the testing panel back in May and have heard nothing since, so hopefully some of you might be getting something to test soon as well!

    Hugs to all, x
