Yeh, and it didn't get any better when I got home. They took my stitches out at home and a few days later my wound ruptured when I was out. My midwife came and stuck a pad on the hole, came back the next day to steri strip it but didnt have steri strips so had to cut up something else sticky to use, then she left her gloves in the car so had to go get them (i live in flats) then she didn't have any tape to stick another pad on top...I had a different midwife nearly every day and I had to get up every day for weeks to see them even though they don't give you a time (like waiting for a washing machine to be delivered). I know staffing is the problem but they need to try and remember that these aren't everyday occurences for us and can be life changing.

Here I sit, waiting for mine to arrive ... wondering if it'll be one of the same girls as last week or a different one again ... hoping they'll remove this c/s wound dressing and put on a new one ... and passing the time on MSE ...

I remembered, Elle what if you weren't a match? (not trying to scare you there)
My friend was conceived earlier than her parents originally planned because they were told if they wanted more children to get a move on due to her sister being ill in case the children that followed were matches...

Bruno - be warned, My friend's LO put a nappy in their washer and she didn't check before setting it off cue a lots of those horrible sticky gel crystals all over the clothes, drum etc and she's just waiting to see if it's affected the workings

the bits of advice I had was to eat grapes myself (asl well as giving baby prunes/water etc and massage tummy in clockwise direction).
Move his legs in a cycling motion aswel and a warm bath then masseage his belly. May hep a little but I think he needs to see a GP too.
im i have lost just over a stone but istill have about 9-10lbs to go which seems to be entirely on my tum
Congratulations on the weight loss!! Don't feel bad, you're doing really well. Be proud!

.. You are doing so well. I remember when you had Rhys as you were due after me but popped before me. I don't know how you've managed with everything going on at the house too, I can barely manage to get dressed well alone anything else. My HV did a questionnaire thing with me and scored it to determine whether I was PND. Have you had that done? To be honest I cried everyday up to filling out that questionnaire and I still came up rosy so I don't know how useful they are.

Never had the questionnaire but I have a lovely HV who has been through similar (her son was born at 33wks, similar brain injury and is now in a wheelchair age 6) so she knows how to phrase it right to make sure I'm okay, iyswim. Haven't felt the slightest inkling of PND at all or any element of forcing myself to "cope" I feel normal but I'm very conscious of people thinking I'm putting on the normal persona when I'm not actually hiding anything.. :o

Elle - I meant to ask last night, If you were pregnant again wouldn't they look more closely at the placenta etc on scans so therefore you couldn't/shouldn't go into labour undiagnosed? if you had VP again..

Yeah, they can do more detailed colour blood flow scans I think. It's a case of flicking a different switch on the same machine they use for everyone and looking a bit more closely. It was used when I had the 4D scan to see the blood flow but we only looked at the mid length of the cord, not specifically the bit near the placenta (where it'd gone wrong) so it wasn't picked up there.

    Hiya, just back from A&E.

Non-crawling/rolling fergie figured it out and nosedived onto hard tiled kitchen floor from 1 metre height while I turned away to bin the nappy.

    Stupid complacent weezl :(

Pupil dilation normal, no fits or vomiting, so probably ok but we need to monitor overnight.

    Going to catch up now...
Oh no Weezl, I'm just reading through the posts slowly (In between bouts of baby wailing) I hope the night went Ok. xx

My experience has resulted in me not wanting to go through this again but if an accident were to happen I would probably want a home birth even with the problems I had last time. There's no reason that the next one shouldn't be straight forward. I've been told this wouldn't be possible but I can't understand how they can force me to have my baby at a hospital I don't want to be at.

They can't! (force you) I asked one of the Cardiff midwives and she confirmed it :) Boo to UHW for treating you bad :(

I think there is a BS on the BS thread where someone had a HB VBAC, If you felt it was ok and wouldn't need anything more than G&A you could just refuse to leave the house and they'd send a MW out
here's the one (its quite long as she's cover a few babies in one post the green one is the HB after the c-section in red) http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=24714219&postcount=82
