Durham hospital give you nothing.
...
She seemed hungry and I was going to pop her on the boob, but they were in and out all the time and faffing about with her and me and told me to wait with the feed. Then midwife wanted to bath her and said they had to do the first bath, even though she's my third so I'm sure I could have bathed her myself, but she ended up screaming because she was hungry. They wanted to give her another bottle then, but I yelled at them all to get out and leave me aloneAny question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Woohoo, my borrowed jumperoo is arriving this afternoon
Recon I could use it now? She goes in the door bouncer OK... I might sit her in it and see how she goes...
Also, does anyone (for some reason I'm thinking weezl) know how to get rid of those black mould spots that appear on fabric when it's been stored somewhere? The seat of the jumperoo has some, it's been washed and everything so I'm not worried about it, it just looks a bit dodgy... And it would be nice to give it back in better condition that I borrow it lol...
Just put Caitlyn in her swing and she was having a little whinge... Then stopped... She looks all spaced out now... Ah... Falling asleep... The swing and music seem to of hypnotised her... Now do I get on and tidy up... Or enjoy the last hour of my first peaceful day?A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Crosshouse provides cotton wool, formula, towels (not maternity towels, well down on labour ward but not the wards). Special care provides nappies, clothes everything.
One midwife spotted baby wipes in my bag and said 'you know we have to use cotton wool now? well when you get home nobody sees you not using cotton wool', she also said it was policy for them to show me how to bath a baby and did I want her to mark down that she had done that or did I want her to actually do it? One was quite picky about nipple confusion on the morning just before Amber was taken to SCBU, we were giving her a BF and then a formula top up to keep her out but it didn't work, and she insisted on giving her cup feeds whereas another asked if I was bothered and she got a bottle feed.
But on the whole they were lovely especially the two main ones who took care of me and gave me cuddles when I finally hit my 'I want to go home!!' tearful day that co-incided with the beginings of mastitis  I actually ran out of SCBU in tears, away from DH the SC nurse and that midwife who eventually found me in the visitor loos trying to stop crying and wipe my face.0 -

At the bank I worked if you worked Mondays and were part-time when a bank holiday came up and you couldn't go in you owed hours so it was a nightmare!Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
Do I go get Amber weighed and run the risk of feeling like crap if she hasn't gained?0

After the boys went, she came back in and said I was holding Charlotte wrong as guidelines had changed between having her and the boys. I just wanted to hold her how I felt comfortable doing it, not how some current fad says you should.

Tia, if she's alert, happy and giving you plenty of wet and dirty nappies than I'd give it a miss this week...
Caitlyn hasn't been done for 7 weeks... Might take her down Thursday if I don't find anything better to do...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Jvic and tara, only thing you need to know is that I mentioned you just up there /\
LO wasn't bathed in hospital. They gave him to me all sticky, and stayed all sticky till about day 7 when Mum bathed him for me. The hospital didn't offer, and I didn't ask.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

eg. The pads no where near absorbed enough blood and every time I stood up blood pouring everywhere (tmi..sorry). So not to get it on my nightie I'd sit in bed with it around my waist but our bleedin midwives wouldn't let us have the curtains shut so it was a nightmare trying to get out of bed with any dignity. Also had no help getting Tom in and out of his cot...took me ages to sit up and get out of bed after the section. Nightmare!
On the upside...I HAD COTTON WOOL!!! So couldn't get told off for that!;)DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0
