Hi hon, I am certain that somewhere in the back of my sieve-for-a-brain, I remember handing out Diazepam to a breastfeeding mum! I can't quite remember clearly but I'm sure she wanted a word with the pharmacist about it and he just said it is up to the doc if they prescribe it, and they should have gone through all the pro's and con's of taking it whilst BF, and if she was in any doubt to phone the docs and have a little chat?
I think it is best to speak with the docs, but like I say I am sure she was taking it? I know nothing about it apart from that but your doc should have all the up-to-date info:)Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Feely, it's not contra-indicated for short term use but it might make baby sleepy so you'd have to make sure he was feeding enough... Have you looked at the BfN's antidepressants and breastfeeding information? It's about the best information available in the UK...

Elle! We've been considering going to one of those - can you give us a more in-depth review?
Facilities, atmosphere?
Well we went to Darwin Forest in February 2009 when I was 20-ish wks pregnant. We went the week after halfterm so there were probably only about ten lodges occupied at the time, all spread out. Was really quiet and peaceful. We went on the orienteering course (not huge, took about 90mins to do both courses) one afternoon, went swimming several times in the four days we were there (pool slightly cool for my liking but then I like my baths scalding hot!), it has a baby area off to one side. On site pub was lovely - singing landlord who remembered you every night, really quick service and lovely food. Don't remember it being overly expensive either. Helpful receptionists with lots of local knowledge and leaflets - place is not very far at all from Bakewell (of Bakewell pudding fame!) and close to Buxton. Lodge itself was spotless, just like they look on the website, heated up quickly and had everything we needed. Park also spotless and felt very safe.
Can't think of anything else.. Ask away
And we're going to Sandybrook in mid-November so I'll let you know thenWould have gone back to Darwin Forest without hesitation but since Sandybrook is there we thought we'd try it too - gets similarly good reviews - plus there was availability on a lodge with a hottub so we're treating ourselves for OH's birthday

please i need help to get this baby to sleep at night! i was thinking about giving her some cereal at 9 before i feed her and put her down but she is sleeping til 3 then up every hour having a little feed and then screaming til i put her in her own bed! shes driving me crazy!
Maybe it is worth a try, if you are getting desperate...which I'm sure you are if you are in work the next day too!! I doubt it would do her any harm.
Where does she sleep at the mo, in your room/bed?

Tine I meant to say, don't worry lots of lube, relaxation and taking it slow. You'll get there I'm sure(it happened with us after Chris
)
ps. were past 5000 posts already
Can't remember who mentioned about "returned virginity" or whatever it was called - TMI alert!
Nope it's definitely not thatit's basically really pulling on where I tore and healed up again... *sigh* We'll try again tonight hopefully but with even more lube lol Poor hubby has always been bery aware of his size and is so worried about tearing me and hurting me that it's a bit of a dampener on the mood bless him

I find morrisons meat is WAY better than any of the other supermarkets, when you cook the mince it actually looks like mince and not stringy lumps!I always give my mince a good mushing with my hands before I cook it
OH has never had to actually show it, just going into the pharmacy carrying baby meant they put her down as exempt! Not sure if that would be true everywhere
Here you definitely have to show it - not only show it but Boots and Lloyds both write your number down too!
The more I hear about you and your poor OH the more I am worrying that she's suffering from PND Bruno... I know I've mentioned it before but I think maybe it's something you could approach your GP/healthvisitor about and just ask them to do a "routine" check up with her and see what they think? If it IS PND then there are things for it...
Well we went swimming today againAlex is turning into a right little hussy - smiling at the lifeguards already! My embaressing moment of the day was after struggling in a "family" changing room at the pool last time we only accidently discovered that there was actually a family/baby changing room there too! DOH! (Only found it because I dropped a £1 coin and went hunting for it!) Does mean I feel brave enough to take Alex swimming with me on my own as there is a changing table in there with a strap to hold her down whilst mummy gets changed!
Result!
My futon matress is finally being picked up tomorrow hopefully - finally a freecycler responded to my ad LOLDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Right guys - the diazepam conversation is seriously pushing the boundaries of medical advice... can you PM each other or use FB if you want to discuss that - I really don't want to have to start removing posts...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I forgot to say earlier - Tine - I hope you get sorted out, in your down below area! I am kinda jealous...I have had three BIG babies and not a single stitch...don't even try to imagine it:o (9lb6oz, 8lb4oz, 9lb1oz)
Alex was 8lb 2oz so not a tiiiiny baby either... I was somewhere round 7lb and my brother about that too and mum tore badly with both of us too :S I personally think a lot of things like that are hereditary
To be honest even before it could have done with being a bit looserbut I get what you're saying

Caz, have you tried not feeding her when she wakes? If she only feeds a couple of minutes then wants back in her cot, it could just be she's wanting reassurance you're there... Could you not get hubby to take over for a couple of nights just picking her up, cuddling her and putting her back down? It might be noisy for a few nights but she'll get the message eventually...
Just depends how much your hubby likes his sleep lol...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
