  • Not at home, we never got round to creating a nursery/room for her whilst I was pregnant it's only got 1 3/4 walls painted and a lightshade up, there is furniture in there and we keep all her clothes are in there.

She slept in a room on her own on holiday last year but she came through to us as soon as she could.

There are probably many reasons why I've never moved her but the main one is that she is the child I never thought I would have and I don't want to miss a moment of her growing up.

I've started getting the Raa's again but that's because she's pretending to be a pirate!!

The whole night tonight Keira kept going back and forth to the toilet, I did not know a child could produce so much poo! She must be about half a stone lighter, but I think it's really hit her now that pooping on the bog is the place to beeeeeee.

So now just to get her to actually eat food and blam bam, I think we are on a roll.

Do most 3 year olds know how to use a knife and fork? Because she doesnt really eat main meals we have never given her a knife, and don't actually have child sized ones :o She can use a fork though!!

Am I a bad mummy for that? Im away to order her a peppa pig cutlery set that comes with a knife, let the peas pinging off the plate begin.

    Night all!

MM I love you too :D:p I have to say the thought of not having you guys to talk to is scary! I suppose I'll only reach posting less if/when I go back to work (which right now I don't feel like I ever want to do :o)

elle faboo photos :D I am so jealous of that bouncer, I think it's gorgeous! And the babe in it isn't too shabby either ;)

edit I love that saying MM I think I might just nick it. Night night xx

    Work?! Nooooo... :(

There's a highchair (and a swing) to match the bouncer.. I'm trying to resist but it is gorgeous :) Plays nice music too - like an orchestral version of Twinkle Twinkle :rotfl:Got to find my iPod to make full use of it - 90s cheesy pop all round! :D

    Nighty nighty xx

ETA: And, yes, I already know you're all going to tell me I don't need a £120 highchair... :p
  • BM - I've let DD have a child's knife on a couple of occasions she knows the action, but isn't quite co-ordinated enough yet to have it all the time.

Sounds like a good reason to me! :D

No idea when Rhys' room will be ready.. Maybe the fairies will do it in the week we're away in November when he's 6mths old  (a bit of a tradition in our family to come home from a holiday and find a whole different room to the way you left it!)

The Rahhs have stopped here for now. Bouncer is in the comp room with OH for the time being so Rhys is either asleep or captivated by comp games

Night night MDW - good luck with the rest of your prep for Sunday :)

  • Hi, can I join in too please?
Hugh arrived nearly 3 months ago now...and I'm just beginning to feel like I have time to post here rather than just read whilst I am feeding him! He was 2.5kg, went down to 2.3kg and now weighs 5.6kg (two weeks ago). The strange thing is that I have aleady forgotten how the weeks of feeding him every 2-3 hours felt like...now he feeds a lot during the day (usually every 1-2 hours) but then sleeps from 11-12ish until 6-7ish, which is sooo much better! :j And, he has finally decided that the bouncy chair is not an instrument of torture, but actually quite fun (in small doses!)...so Mummy can get on with stuff with both hands (sometimes!)

No doubt this will all change again, especially as we are about to have our long-awaited holiday...we are coming back to the UK from Belgium and taking Hugh on a grand tour of family and friends (getting his passport sorted was very high on the list of priorities once he was born!)

Anyway....I think I can hear the "Hugh waking up again" noises, so had better go and investigate...

  • Elle, don't you think the fairies are already fairly busy doing the post!

Hedgehog28, welcome, you've covered the sleeping, what about the pooing? If BFing how are your nips? (feel free not to answer that one) Why are you in belgium, how long have you been/are you there for? Any other children?

Whats 2.5kg in real money? Ello was 6lb 6oz which is 2900g so its just a bit littler than Ello I think, anyway if he's 5.6kg now then he's doing brilliantly.
