Sami - i have tried the rusk in the bottle, but that doesn't work either :-) for us. mmmm...will think more on the night formula then.

MFD - no trouble about today, just wish i had seen it earlier. my hubby will be so jealous you are all going. i was saying to him when i was pregnant about going back to AT or Thorpe Park and that he should ask his mate and i'd just hang around while they were on the rides.

Does anyone know why our house has a spider infestation?

Tis cos it's September.. Always get masses of them in March and September  I even had a foot stomping paddy last night because OH left my parents before I'd said goodbye to him (he thought I had but I hadn't!) and then when I tried to run after him I was stopped dead in my tracks by a spider the size of my palm! OH just laughed at me.. :o
LOL! It was supposed to be 1st Sep but I knew it wouldn't be then! Hence the holiday! We have had word ;) that we won't hear this week...maybe next week!

Phew.. :o Does that prove to you that I don't in fact have everything written down and remember it all? :p

  • Spiders - hate them border on phobic about them, they make me shudder, a tip I've heard about is placing conkers in the corners of your rooms as spiders don't like the smell, I'm going to try it this year as our house backs onto trees and we get loads of them.

Caz - you have a gorgeous family.

AHHH - just over a week till we go away and I've been volunteered to leader the pre-school Sunday School on Sunday!! Never done anything like it before in my life - I do have a pack to base the session on but the children vary in age from 3-5 (I've only got a 2 year old!!!). It's also the first one after the summer so I have no idea on numbers or ages.

So can I sound out you ladies with children that age please?

Whilst waiting for everyone to come in - draw a picture of a friend, during this time I will ask them simple questions about friends and explain that's what we're learning about today.

Then out of the session pack a simple picture story explaining how Jesus met up with the first few disciples. Also on these pages are questions about how they can find out about Jesus etc

Then I will give each child a pre-prepared pair of paper people so they can draw themselves with either Jesus or a friend - these will then be joined together to make a chain for hanging in the main church.

I will then read a slightly more indepth version of the picture story using a chain of 13 paper people.

This will then be following by a simple but action orientated prayer about friends.

The session lasts about an hour.

Just wait til the random stuff starts appearing in the nappy and I don't mean coming from the bum I mean falling down the front of clothes and into the nappy, the worst I've had was a choc raisin I wondered what the heck a rabbit was doing pooing in El nappy. Obviously the choc had mealted so had left smears of brown then there was just the raisin (rabbit poo) at the front of the nappy. I find crumbs/peas/bread and all sorts!!!!
