Oh Tigs, that's fab news - I've gone all tingly with excitement for you..
Oh and teary, yup, definitely teary..
I remember the night they moved Rhys. I was daring to nip home for an hour and they said "Oh don't be surprised if he's not where you left him when you get back - he's moving rooms!"
Is Andrew still in an incubator or do they have "BabyTherms" where you are They're like incis but the cabriolet(sp?) version with a heatlamp on top. Much better for poking them in but you do get the top of your head burnt if you're not careful!
Fab news on the expressing too. Keep up the good workxxx

Stop welling up, you daftie, you'll get me started
Not sure what he's in right now, I'm guessing it's still an inci as he's still spending time on&off Cpap. We'll find out more later when we go to visit this afternoon! It'll be good to see him in a room where alarms don't go off every couple of minutes.
I opted not to stay in the hospital once I moved off the ward, we live pretty close by and I'll stay once BF starts as that'll be more useful. So we're on daily visits instead, which are such fun  by public transport, roll on 6wks & being allowed to drive again.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Obviously it's down to how you feel, what the doctors say and what your car insurance company says, but quite a few of us didn't wait until six weeks to start driving again. My car insurance werent interested and my GP said I could start driving after a month as long as I felt okay to do an emergency stop, which I did, so I started driving at 4.5wks after
Don't rush yourself though - it really tired me out when I was driving again which I wasn't expecting.
We only stopped so long because our house, which is minutes from the hospital, wasn't ready to live in and my parents is much further away. Really would have made the move sooner if we could have - staying in the same building all day with no fresh air does your head in!
Tissues handy for when you get there this afternoon!xxx

Oh, or other non-baby related drama is that we have literally NO money this week once the bills have gone out. Food and petrol will have to come off the credit card, and I have £18 in pound coins in my wallet which I will save for using during the week for coffee morning fees etc, so that Izzy's activities don't have to stop (shouldn't need it all, but it's handy to have it if we need it) and parking money.
Looks like we will be getting the DIY finished, spending time on the allotment, and going to the park this month then. Who knows, DH might even NOT go to the pub, but I expect he will wrangle someone into buying him beer and go anyway. I've told him he will be walking in/back if he does though, as I'm not wasting petrol. We can all walk in together anyway, it will get me some exercise!
DH was saying to me last night, well a week on Monday I will cook curry and we can watch a movie or something. I was so flustered at that point that it took me a few mins to realise it will be our 2nd wedding anniversary:o! So he will be getting flapjacks or something as his anniversary present. And by the sounds of it i will be getting curry. Never mind. The presents aren't the important bit anyway
Anyway, Izzy is sleeping, so I'm going to see if I can join her. Then when she wakes up i'd better dig the break maker out. And think about what we can ebay. Need to get back into more OS habbits for the rest of the month and then keep them up, as we're not going to be much better off when I go back to work. We will have £300 left once we have paid all the dds, food and petrol, but that doesn't cover if we want to buy anything for the house, and we have to pay all this overdraft and credit cards, so we still won't have any spare (well, will have to allow ourselves a small amount of pocket money, but it will have to be £5 a week or something, like when we were kids).

Elle, Thanks for the tip as regards driving. I checked with my insurance company beforehand, and they said they had no rules, it would be purely down to my GP - presumably so long as he records that he's given me the okay, I'm then insured. Thing is, I wasn't planning on seeing my GP until the six-week visit, he's not my favourite person! I'll wait and see, it's already been almost 2.5 weeks, I'm amazed. And I don't see Marley letting me drive earlier than normally allowed, he's being really protective :rotfl::heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Does anyone know why our house has a spider infestation?........... It's not good, because OH is utterly petrified of spiders, to the extent where she struggles to be rational and just gasps and wails and freezes up.
.................
Anyway, why do we have them and how do we make them go away? Any suggestions?I don't know what OH will do if we once see one at Elijah's cot or on him or anything like that! We'll be in a B&B til the fumigation is complete!
i've considered hypnotism to try and get over it for seths sake. if there was one near him i couldnt physically go and get him
any bigger than a 5p and i'm a complete mess around the things! once there was a 10p sized one in the lounge and i lost it, dumped seth in the bedroom and sprayed it with raid, bleach, hairspray, polish, spider repellant and dettol, all while hysterically crying and i still didnt believe it was dead! all while on the phone to OH while he laughed at me!! :mad:Mummy to

Well I'm up and even dressed.. got booted off the comfy spot on the sofa by my own son! Put him down for a minute and he promptly fell fast asleep so thought I'd might as well get up.. got to be presentable to answer the door for when the pump's delivered anyway - am I wrong to be so excited about it?!
Not sure what time he went down to sleep last night (poss 1am) but he was awake at 5am. Luckily, he was compliant in the "no niceities" method last night and went off again pretty well. I took the chance to express (and amazed myself with the amount - was almost worth being awake at 5am for! :rotfl:), then got another few hours in before the grumblings started again.
We're having a day in today. It's cold and drizzly outside so we're not missing much. Have extended my list of jobs to 35 (:o) so I'd best get a couple of those done and out the wayRhys is currently having his morning constitutional kickabout on the floor right now..
First things first.. crossiants for brekkie!0 -

re the DIY, often people have lots of half used DIY bits in their garages... Could you post a wanted ad on freecycle for some paint/mdf/plasterboard/whatever?
thanks heaps to everyone who was so sweet about the cubes last night- you daft bunchYou lot can have your own via the fairies for free if you like, but I will certainly look into etsy for attracting non-mse buyers!
I found a good thread saying the approx value at boot sales of a few different things so I've been putting together a couple of boxes, which if all sold could be in the region of £50 so that'll help a little in the short term...

Hey ladies, Glam is MIA from the pregnancy thread and they're excited/worried about it. Have any of you who were at the sling meet heard from her?
Edit because now I've caught up - go baby Tigster, and elle when will you hear about the scan?
Ladybird, there's a thread where someone lives on 50p a day on the OS board, that might be a good read - good luck, it must be worrying for you.
I've already forgotten if I've missed anything else. Thanks for the suggestions about adopting grannies. I'll see if there's anything similar here.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

i just want to say, i'm really sorry if i dont say anything about things like rhy's scan and andrews promotion, its not that i dont care its just that very often i dont read the posts properly (depends if seth is napping or not
) and i just scan through and i dont know if it would be harsher to big up one thing and not another? i dont want to ignore just one person IYSWIM? but i am always really really pleased when it all goes well, and i am terrible with words and advice when it doesnt
that was a bit of a jumble, i hope you get the gist
i'm starting slim fast today  i have to make a start on getting this baby weight off for the wedding and i need something this restrictive to keep me on track! i just had the first shake, at least its creamier than i remember... i suppose... yawnMummy to
