ohhh... does anyone have any thoughts/experiences of 'night time??? i saw it in boots today. cow and gate and HIPP do one. they are a thicker formula which is meant ot help settle them at night. i was thinking of getting some to try but a box which is half the size (if not smaller) than a normal formula box is £5.

when LO was having gaviscon in her milk to thicken it to help with the reflux it didn't make any difference to her sleeping, so i wonder if this night milk would???

I don't think it the same kind of 'thicker' IYSWIM it basically is like the old fashioned putting rusk in the bottle to keep their tummy fuller for longer.
I'm not a big fan of them fof LO's who are waking hungry in the night coz I think they need the extra calories of another bottle, but if she's 'just' unsettled then you could just give it a whirl...
The box lasts longer than the normal ones coz you only use it for one bottle a day.
I want to rant about Farmville :o It keeps crashing Internet Explorer and has taken my lappy (which is temperamental at the best of times) down with it a few times.
I like the planting and harvesting but the animals and trees p1ss me off :o
    I want to give up....but I don't think I can :o
    I need a holiday :D
I hardly go on it now, life's to short :p

Does anyone know why our house has a spider infestation?

They are all the same sort, really huge (for the UK...), like the leg-span of a palm of the hand, and I must have killed 7 or 8 in the last week! 2 tonight! In different rooms of the house, etc. It's not good, because OH is utterly petrified of spiders, to the extent where she struggles to be rational and just gasps and wails and freezes up. I am not personally keen on spiders, but I have had no choice but to be brutal with them, even bare foot kill once

Anyway, why do we have them and how do we make them go away? Any suggestions? :( I don't know what OH will do if we once see one at Elijah's cot or on him or anything like that! We'll be in a B&B til the fumigation is complete!

Well no college doesn't run through the term holidays but I don't think a nursery will let me take her "off the books" for the Easter hols, Summer hols, October Hols, Xmas hols, just so I don't need to pay, and I don't think it's very fair to take her out of nursery during Summer hols or w/e, it's good for her. I don't think many if any places would let you do that. I'm pretty sure you still have to pay if they are ill and don't go in.

Does your college have a nursery?

I know the nursery I used with DD, years ago, a Leapfrog chain one didn't offer term time places - it drove me mad, as when we weren't there in the school hols, but still paying, they took in extra children so got paid twice!

If I really have to go to work this time, my local college nursery offers places to non-students, but they have tons of term-time places. Most of the places are taken by students, and they make up the places in the school hols by taking staff children in on a playscheme type thingy.

    I know!!!
I have 2 for 1 vouchers and will make sandwiches in the morning. TBH though, we were hoping to take DSS on holiday with us this year but it didn't work out so it will be worth every penny to make him happy. He is such a good boy, I am a very privileged Step Mum :D if Benjamin turns out to be half as well behaved I will be extremely proud indeed.

Ooo - good luck for getting the clan all looking in one direction, never mind smiling!!! The poor photographer will need a stiff drink after ;) (JOKE!!) :D
well i hope you have lots of fun and i would reccomend you all go on hex it really plays trick on you but is good fun and even benjamin can go in too :D
never mind the photographer it'll be me needing a drink as i have to do this then head to work:( will let you know what happens can see me ending up with 2 pics again though lol!

Oh that's fab!! I didn't know nurseries did that. I think I'll phone around and check out the nearest ones and see if they do that. Thanks mucho!

Is it weird that even though DD has only been to nursery for 3 days, I'd feel bad taking her from that one and putting her in a new one? Im weird.

I had a cry because DS2 might have to leave the one he is at and has been at all last year :(

We also have lots of spiders although we would probably have a whole lot less if someone dusted the cobwebs more often:whistle:

My sadistic OH has one of those electronic fly swatters and goes round electrocuting any spiders who might cross his path. Thats what passes for fun round these parts!

we have had a lot aswell really big spiders! OH was in the garage with his friend and they saw a huge spider run across the floor and grab a fly, he said that it was the coolest thing he has ever watched but it has made him worry about them eating him now?:rotfl:

Us too - and they're huge this year!
I can't say I like them, but I can't kill them! I catch them in a glass, whilst trying not to trap their 5" legs, and release them in the garden.
My thinking is, they eat flies, and I hate flies more!
