Hi there all,
My question is: does anyone remember the activity cubes I made for fergie with the scrunchie sides? Do you guys think they are car bootable, or is it just not worth it since I'd barely make back my costs!
Please be honest, I'm not precious about the value of my needlecrafts!
Love weezl xxx
PS any other tips on what's likely to sell well would be great! xxx
I don't think car boots would appreciate your fantastic skills!
What about ebay? Maybe doing stuff to order, to match a nursey theme for example?
And £1 is far too cheap in my opinion. £10 for 3 sounds better.
I'd order black & white ones to go with my bedroom theme!
An ebay search doesn't bring anything similar up - maybe you could fill a gap? As someone mentioned though, would people be 'funny' without safety labels etc?About the only thing I miss about my old job, on the way home I'd be stuck in traffic next to the firestation. In the summer they play volleyball mainly topless:D
:rotfl:I worked evenings in a boring office job, with 29 other women when DD1 was a baby, so 2000-2003. The fire alarm was faulty for a couple of weeks, and the firemen kept turning up, same time everynight.......and we'd hang out of the windows like sad, desperate housewives. Anyway, after a few nights, they turned up in bottoms, braces and no t-shirts! It was a very hot summer - but i'm sure they were trying to wind us up! :rotfl:although obviously if he's grand with milk stuff it's probably the strawberry not dairy iyswim, well I know you do, just trying to demonstrate that I do) it's worth speaking to the doctor about :-)
They gave me two different kinds in the hospital after my fever in labour if that helps?
Blimey that was all a bit vague I'm a touch tired!
Fritha - you come across as so dippy somnetimes! (But we know you're not in RL!).:beer:0 -
Won't she have to pay back anything at the end of the year that would be over this years entitlement??
They may base it on last years but surely any difference between last year and this year should be reported and credits therefor adjusted so they don't have a huge amount they then have to pay back... or have I missed a trick here?

Becles/button I agree with what Becles said bout just hold her wrist tight and keep walking. El is only 21 months but it works. I've just got to be careful as she still has frgile wrist. Just make sure it's her wrist your holding not her hand as this is safer.
On the wrist holding, be warned she may bite you and also she may as an adult go mental if anyone ever touches her wrist... or so I hear :whistle:0 -
Oh my!!
I am halfway packed....well in terms of half of the things to go on hols are spread out on the living room floor!!
Tomorrow we are going to Alton Towers - and we have managed to keep it a secret from DSS!!! I am so excited, I can't wait until he realises where we are going!!!
In about April or May there was a huge lottery Jackpot and every week hubby says - 'shall we win it this week or shall we let someone else have it?' On this particular saturday the jackpot was £15M or something I said that we would win it that week because then we could make all our family millionaires too! We were in the car at the time and we asked DSS what he wanted if we won the jackpot...
...DSS thought for a while and then said 'I think I would like to go to Alton Towers' :A
Bless him - he is 9!! He is not a baby and he has imagination enough to think of much bigger and better things but all he wanted was to go to AT, what a sweetheart! He didn't even want to take all his friends or whatever. We promised him then that we would take him to AT this summer but we never got around to it...DSS has not mentioned it but I know he is going to be SO THRILLED!!!
Sorry for the ramble! I am excited!

HV came out today and has promised me a place in a nursery for Charlie for restbite for us all! she has to phone them back on mon and arrange a visit etc for us! she has also got us an appointment to see a childrens mental health worker who will come to the house in oct with HV and assess charlie. they still want him to see the peads doctor to make sure there is nothing physically wrong? so i am quite happy about all of this as it feels like we are getting somewhere and they believe there is a problem and not that its in my head?
I know it's "old news" now but I was so pleased to hear thissounds like really great progress and I am sure it will be a huge weight off your mind! Here's hoping it works out!

We actually have a footstool with a spare keyboard on it, and whenever Elijah is getting too 'vigorous' we put him in front of it, guaranteed to spend at least a minute or two pounding the heck out of itscruffy96uk wrote: »Bruno Not seen you for a while hope things are ok at home and LO is settling better
Savvy Also incase you pop in to keep an eye on us lot :wave:
Just lurking the last few days but still around, thanks for asking
Very busy at work, no major home dramas - situation with fighting sleep and OH not coping with that seems to be under control, Elijah is sleeping better this week (new tooth came through) and OH has some coping strategies in place to avoid snapping when alone...
Elle, I was on tenterhooks all afternoon for Rhys, kept sneaking chances to check forums at workit sounds like the news was basically good which is great - please keep us updated as you put the poor little guy through his further tests and scans and appointments .
Feely, I hope everything is okmake OH take care of you tonight if you're feeling weird, that's what he's there for.
I went and stalked Savvy on her regular boards the other day, just to see if she was still ok and out there! I didn't dare speak to her out in the wilds of MSE though0 -

I also used to stroke his nose (so he closed his eyes) and kiss his face and eyes (Benjamin loves kisses!!)
I think I will have to show my Mum how I do it
I also have sat by his cot and sung twinkle twinkle until my throat was hoarse!!
It always makes me laugh how many kids lie down to go to sleep at the end of rhyme time because twinkle twinkle is their bedtime music :rotfl:.
Oh, I forgot to say, we have graduated to sitting on the floor at the front at Rhyme time with the big kids - much easier, since Izzy wants to stand/crawl the whole time now!
Benjamin has gone down in a dirty sleepsuit tonight!! I changed him earlier but then he sat with us and DSS whilst we had dinner and wanted a potato wedge!! Then he had a bottle with daddy and fell asleep so I just stuck him in a sleeping bag and left him to it!

And I thought I had it lucky with 'bird seed cop' every Saturday (I worked in a large well known pet shop that happened to be next to the police station), one Saturday he threatened to cuff me and put my in the cells as we were out of bird seed, I asked if he was planning on keeping me busy while I was there. Later I was mortified that I had been such a hussy, and married at that! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: And the other girl who I checked out hot men with was a wee bit jealousWe had a secret code and everything and yes, we hid behind shelves to follow them about
