Mfd, that is exciting! I always keep things like that secret from Aimee, I love her face when she gets a surprise!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Feelie I ended up having to finish off our roast potatos on the microwave, as they weren't cooked and everything else was, so it's not just you. Oops!
Oh, on the subject of Grandparents, Izzy has decided Granny is far more fun than me - whenever we are with my mum I don't get a look in :rotfl:. It is the way it is meant to be, I had to remind myself that is what Grandparents are for.

Well no college doesn't run through the term holidays but I don't think a nursery will let me take her "off the books" for the Easter hols, Summer hols, October Hols, Xmas hols, just so I don't need to pay, and I don't think it's very fair to take her out of nursery during Summer hols or w/e, it's good for her. I don't think many if any places would let you do that. I'm pretty sure you still have to pay if they are ill and don't go in.0

hi all,
elle, sorry online earlier to wish you good luck with the appt today. sending all positive vibes for the results.
ladybirdinuk and r.mac -- i read your posts with interest re sleeping. i too have had the HVs say to me about putting LO down when she is sleepy (or going off on the bottle) and rub her tummy. yeah right, she just tries to lift herself up and wakes herself up again.
i try not to be too stressed about it, but i worry for LO. i know she is so much happier when she sleeps well.
i honestly do not mind nurse her to sleep, but i am having the problem that when i have got her in the crib she is still not overly settled. like tonight for example, she woke up crying and i took out of the crib. managed to settle her with singing and some dummy time. kept her in my arms (when i caught up with the thread) and then moved her back to the crib. she has moved around a bit, but hasn't woken as yet.
ohhh... does anyone have any thoughts/experiences of 'night time??? i saw it in boots today. cow and gate and HIPP do one. they are a thicker formula which is meant ot help settle them at night. i was thinking of getting some to try but a box which is half the size (if not smaller) than a normal formula box is £5.
when LO was having gaviscon in her milk to thicken it to help with the reflux it didn't make any difference to her sleeping, so i wonder if this night milk would???

Most will accept children for term time only no problems. It's different if they are off sick, I think you do still have to pay (college paid the nursery direct so I honestly don't know about that) but school holidays is pretty common for children not to be there, think of all the parents at college/Uni, school teachers etc.0 -
Oh that's fab!! I didn't know nurseries did that. I think I'll phone around and check out the nearest ones and see if they do that. Thanks mucho!
Is it weird that even though DD has only been to nursery for 3 days, I'd feel bad taking her from that one and putting her in a new one? Im weird.0
