MDW If you throw a brownie reeeaaally hard do you hink it would reach me over here?
And if you can reach Sami, you can reach me, get chucking! ;-) Happy Birthday/ bfp anniversary :-)How long is colic an issue for? Do LOs not get it after a certain age?
In theory 12 weeks but I find Celia still gets very shouty with trapped wind if I have too much caffeine. And there was me being impressed because you were the clever memory lady! :rotfl:
I think my brain was embarrassed at letting me down by completely failing to remember Violet's name so it remembered everyone at the sling meet (including usernames). I think my memory feat was more down to it amusing me that basically my entire online and real life was encapsulated in a sling meet!Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
Not entirely
Caitlyn's being mean to me... She woke every 90mins last nightshe did feed and settle quick enough after but I'm knakered today! Got to take Aimed school shoe shopping which means an hour long bud to lichfield where the nearest independant shoe shop is... I'm wondering if she was a little cold in her 1tog sleeping bag so i'll try her in the 2.5tog one tonight...
Must get on, need to leave in 28mins and I'm still in my pyjamas!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

She gets a bit distressed after a little while and also doesnt show any interest in trying to roll over yet x
Izzy did some flukey rolling over quite early, but then couldn't work out how she did it. Then around 5 months or so she started rolling over once or twice a day, and by six months she was rolling across the room to get to what she wanted. By about 7 months she was starting to crawl, and now at seven and a half months she is starting trying to pull herself up on things (she isn't very good at it and rarely suceeds) and can stand up holding onto the sofa/mummy if I help her to stand up.
Having said that, babies are all different, and comparing them is a futile activity. Not that it stops us mid youI'm mean too
That's cute with the dog food.
We had a full blown tantrum in Morrisons the other day because I wouldn't buy any chocolate buttons. I only calmed her down by letting her hold the cheese for a while, but then she wanted to swop it for the grapes. I let her hold the bag but didn't realise she'd torn a hole in it and she'd been sneakily eating themHad to keep a close eye and tell her not to eat them until we'd paid for them. Then she didn't want to give them to the lady at the till in case the lady didn't give them back. The lady was ill laughing, but I was a bit
This made me laugh - I wish I was that easily amused
Good news here - rhyme time starts back up today. :j:j:j It is going to be much harder work than last time though - Izzy is much heavier, so all that lifting her up in the air will be a real workoutIsabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Boo Krystal, hope you get a better nights sleep tonight.
Talking of sleep, Toby went 8 hours between feeds! He did need a couple of pats at about 4am, but I'm amazed!
Annoyed with OH though, I left LO with him while I had a shower, and came back and OH was asleep and baby had bumped his head on the side of his cot and was really cryingStay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

I may be speaking out of turn but when I used cold water sterilisers I was never too exact on the water... to me 2 litres would be fine with half a tablet , trust me Milton tablets are hard to cut exactly in half anyway (guess you cant use the liquid milton instead?)Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -

We have massive probs with LO as he will only take the TT ones that have been discontinued ( now £9 a pair on ebay!!) so I think I have some of the following in my cupboard that we tried which some fairies could transfer to you if you want to try them? Only trouble is that the second type, one is blue

angelfairy wrote: »she just used to settle better with one. i honestly dont think she will take them again, but i am just struggling for ways to settle her and i need to start looking at her settling herself to sleep.
As you know we had probs with LO sleeping as well. However, she now sleeps the whole night and will take day time naps BUT, she can't fall asleep by herself. I generally hold her and she snuggles in until she's comfortable and drifts of while I pat her or stroke her hair. During the day I pop her in my bed and rub her back until she drifts off. It doesn't normally take long now we have perfected it. However, I'm not bothered about her settling herself anymore - as I see it her going to sleep at all without having to be nursed or screaming matches for hours is better. There is no rule saying that babies have to be put down awake. They are still veyr little after all. So long as you find somthing that works for your LO, then don't worry to much.Buttonmoons wrote: »

okay -not to sound horrible and cruel, but would this be such a bad thing? Perhaps it would give her the 'push' to use the toilet.*runs and hides before everyone lynches her*

Angela, I'm sorry if I've come across wrong.. When I'm saying "Rhys can do X, Y and Z", I don't at all mean it in a "comparison" kind of way. It's purely a "look at this, the doctors said he'd never do it, please all share in my happiness" kind of way
According to the doctors, Rhys should be a vegetable, spending his future in a wheelchair, being tube fed and not getting a scrap of enjoyment out of life.. My telling everyone how well he is doing partially a thankyou to everyone for keeping me going and keeping me strong enough to be able to encourage him to do these things, and just believe that one day he might do them.
You are never going to find a baby who went through what he did - born lifeless at 31weeks, only coming round after 24minutes and suffering the amount of brain damage he did. In addition, the acidoses (sp?) in his blood almost killed him and there are still a lot of things which may bring the end a lot closer than 80-90 years.. On that basis, I'm just amazed at whatever he can do, regardless of when he can do it
Speaking of which, we have the brain scan this afternoon and I'm bricking it.. Aside from the brain damage, if the fluid hasn't gone it may mean surgery to drain it.. _pale_0 -

Mine too! She slept from 8, til we went up to bed at 12ish. We were lying in bed when she started shouting and making us laugh with big cute eyes popping up over the side of the cot! I then spent the rest of the night feeding/dozing/feeding etc! Then I got up at 4 with face ache and found an abcess on my gum where I had a filling a few weeks ago! Then I couldn't get back to sleep because I was worrying I wouldn't hear my alarm and get the big ones up for school in time!
I got the big ones off to school in their new huge uniforms! :rotfl: They were both quite happy to go.
My first day of freedom is going to be spent at the dentist, Asda and cleaning!
ETA: Elle I don't think you come across as boasting - I don't think it was meant like that.
We love hearing how well Rhys is doing - he's an amazing little man! :T And everytime he does something wonderful it makes me all goosepimply and proud - and I don't even know him!
Good look with the brain scan - its sounds awful - but its another of those necessary evils!:beer:0 -

((hugs)) for you Elle. You most certainly haven't come across wrong, we are all amazed at the progress your lovely baby has made, and we know you aren't bragging. That said, I think you are entitled to a little bragging! Will be thinking of you this afternoon. When will you be home? Do you get the results then and there, or do they need to go away and discuss it first?
Angela, I know what you mean, I think it is natural to come our babies. I do it for very silly things, mainly the breastfeeding. When I hear about how other babies latch on to things etc, I worry. I remember MFD saying her LO lifted her top up once, and that was ages ago. Toby doesn't do that!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0
