i managed to get her to take one of her MAM ones tonight for a bit which calmed her down enough to give her a bottle.

i will keep trying, even though i know it's silly as most people fight to get their LOs off their dummy. although my LO strongly has her own mind so if she wont have a bar of it, then she wont. HMMMM... not sure where she gets her stubbonness (sp?) from??? :-)

Silly question, but why do you want her to have one if she doesn't want one?

Edit: 3, on you it may be cool - on Sami it is jazzy ;)

    not a silly question.

she just used to settle better with one. i honestly dont think she will take them again, but i am just struggling for ways to settle her and i need to start looking at her settling herself to sleep.

the pirate ones are terrible for the paint thing! but seth seems to like them best of all, i think cos they are quite light. we keep the asda own brand ones for leaving the house with cos they dont have any pattern on them and look a lot more respectable :rotfl:
savers have own brand cherry dummies which are super cheap but we havent tried those. i dont rate tesco ones, the flippy bit rattles as he sucks

    I don't think I approve
AF, my local chemist sells cherry latex ones for 25p... If you wanted to try her with just the shape of them...

Sami, that's for all those parents that want to pop a bit of rusk in their 6wk olds bottle ;)

Great minds Krystal! I was just about to post 'why not just put a rusk in the bottle and cut the hole in the teat bigger, like in the olden days!' :D:eek:

I'm off too! Big two are in school tomorrow - and i've forgotten how to get up and organised before 8.30am! :o

    Good night all. x

  • MDW - and you said it wouldn't last!

Following on from last night...you need about 2oz of milk for 1 weetabix, more if you want it sloppy.

Benjamin thought it was okay but wasn't overly bothered!

MFD - we'll see, she has done it before only to go back after a few days.

Weetabix - DD wouldn't entertain it for ages but now it's one of her favourites, I'm being a naughty mummy at the moment as she is having Coco Pops - DD lobbed them in the shopping trolley and I felt it would be mean to take them out again as she looked so proud of herself.

DD was so cute tonight went to Matalan for trainers and jeans for DH she was riffling through the rails like a professional and bringing us items to look at! Then when DH was trying on trainers she took her shoes off to have a go!
