  • Tigs - congratulations, he sounds like a fighter.

Angel - I can't help over the dummies sorry, DD has always preferred the orthodontic ones.

Getting frustrated as I want to get my hands on my new car so I can check out if it is ISOFIX, I've been on the Britax site and it suggest ISOFIX seats but I don't know if that's just because it's the new range or not.

oh, dummies. my LO has for the past month or so refused to take hers. i know this is a good in thing, but i do feel it would help her settle at time. i had bought some MAM ones from TK Maxx, but since then she has topped takeing them. i am wondering about the 'cherry' ones. where have people got theirs from???
they are just dummies with a bigger teat really, you can get them anywhere, they are the shape that just happens to normally be the uber cheap ones! or the pretty TT ones with patterns on :) if you want silicone ones they can be a bit harder to come by. we have only ever given seth the cherry ones, just cos they were the first ones we picked up in tesco.

okay ladies, i think i am a bit dim

after asking about the cherry dummies and looking at the links you have all kindly provided, i think i already have a pair of these (which she wont take). we got them in wilkinsons.

i managed to get her to take one of her MAM ones tonight for a bit which calmed her down enough to give her a bottle.

i will keep trying, even though i know it's silly as most people fight to get their LOs off their dummy. although my LO strongly has her own mind so if she wont have a bar of it, then she wont. HMMMM... not sure where she gets her stubbonness (sp?) from??? :-)

  • For what it is worth I struggle to find cherry dummies for Benjamin. We have the pirate ones and some tommee tippee clear blue and green ones but I check everywhere I go and can't find any others

I see the pirate ones all over but the paint comes off them

the restbite will be great as we will have time to do things as it is hard to take him anywhere and get things done! thanks for letting me know about your friend too sounds like she is having a positive experience! i feel relief that something is getting done but also fear over a label, does that sound silly?

Its not silly Caz! I remember not wanting my baby (DS) to be labelled as autistic, because he was my baby, not the autistic boy! (iykwim ).
Them speaking of respite already sounds promising - hopefully your area has better facilities/organisation than here! Last time I asked about respite, I was told the waiting list was closed, as it was 8 years long!
