LO was a pain this morning again, slept from about 9.30 to 5.00 and then decided he was going to climb into our bed. He was then awake at 5.30 wanting to get up. He also has this really bad obsession with OH at the moment at 5am in the morning adn wont let me pick him up at all....
Mind you he'll get a shock next week as OH is away all week on a course in Leicester for 2 weeks.Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
Elle, I never read your posts like that. Also, I wanted to share this link with you (and everyone else too). My friends little girl was 2 last week. She had a very shakey start (was born with all sorts of problems, and had to have loads of operations in her first year or so) and just look at her now!
Ooops - must wake this baby up and get out of the door - am meant to be at the doctors in 15 mins and there is NO WAY we are going to be there on time! OopsIsabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Elle, hun, no one thinks you are bragging, but I agree that I dont think angela meant it that way !! I dont know many 3 or 4 month old babies who can roll as well as Rhys, so he is outside the norm if that makes sence ??? Dylan is 11 weeks and has no inclination at all to even consider rolling over, but then that could be his neck muscles? Try not to worry though Angela, Rose was a very early baby, so it may take her a little bit longer
Good luck for this afternoon elle, will be thinking of you and ((hugs)) to you and Rhys, we are all very proud of you bothThe two best things I have done with my life

feelinggood wrote: »((hugs)) for you Elle. You most certainly haven't come across wrong, we are all amazed at the progress your lovely baby has made, and we know you aren't bragging. That said, I think you are entitled to a little bragging! Will be thinking of you this afternoon. When will you be home? Do you get the results then and there, or do they need to go away and discuss it first?
I guess I am boasting a bit but in comparison to what the doctors told us to expect (ie not a lot!), not in comparison to other babies. I don't even know how old he's supposed to be - 15wks since he was born, 6wks that he should be or somewhere in between to allow a bit for the interruptions in his development through illness, or something else
App is at 1355 and nurse is coming at 1630 so depends how long the wait is - might not get chance to get online until later tonight. It depends who does the scan - if it's the lovely senior sonographer who used to come up to the ward to do them, she will be able to tell me what's what and will be prepared for what she's seeing. At the kidney scan, it was someone else and I got the impression she was thinking "OMG look at the state of those", but when the consultant who knows Rhys looked, she was really impressed with the improvements he's made  Either way, for the official results it'll need a consultant paediatrician and consultant neurologist to look at them. I'm going to request an appointment to go in and discuss them, instead of waiting until the next routine app in mid-October. I need the reassurance of knowing exactly what's going on..0 -

Leila spends more time on her tummy than her back as she sleeps on her tum. She has just started to to half rolls from her tummy to her side but she cant quite work out what to do with her arm and cries when she squashes it. She does a sort of twist from her back to her side but again gets cross when she squishes her arm so generally gives up.Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0

I bet you are all breathing a sigh of relief :rotfl:
Keeping my eye on some BNIB trumpette socks on ebay - LO needs some
We got a lovely present of a fabric highchair yesterday. It'll be great for our holidays and when we are out and about. LO much prefers to be part of the action :rotfl:
Last night's dinner was little strips of chicken breast, some broccoli, some pasta twirls and a fruit pot for pudding. She packed away so much of the pasta and enjoyed the chicken too! Only having 2 teeth doesn't seem to stop her! Tonight she has some sweet potato 'chips' - left overs from our tea last night.
I made Economy Gastronomy breaded chicken breast with lemon butter and served with the SP chips. I agree its not very economic, but there are some good tips and I'm finding it helpful to get me back in the OS mindset. I used to be soooo good, but spend so much time on other things that OS has suffered a bit. I'm currently trawling the recipe threads for a no butter muffin/cake mix as I have lots of SF oil, but no butter and fancy an afternoon treat. Can anyone help????r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
embarassingly, since seth and benjamin are crawling already:j and are a bit younger than fergie, at nearly 6 months he has rolled over only about 5 times, and still finds tummy time reallly frustrating after 5 mins
:D
