Support workers are worried I will spend even more time alone in bedroom ''hideing'' and make myself worse especially if Oscar is having a bad day.
Do you think it would make you 'worse'? As long as you were getting up and around yourself then you'd be helping recovery, you just don't need to carry the baby the whole time... And really, spending a couple of weeks in bed is good for any new Mum... You wouldn't neccessarily be in hiding would you?

We have the previous version of the M&P bouncer, Caitlyn is quite happy to sit in it but it's in the bathroom so she only really goes in it after a shared bath so that I have my hands free to wash my hair...

We also have this http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001801&productId=1500484999&langId=-1&engine=froogle&keyword=Fisher-Price+Smart+Stages+3+in+1+Rocker+Swing won for £25 off eBay, she's really happy to sit in this and swing, and has dropped off once or twice...

Just left the little madame with Daddy in bed having a little nap... Although I sent Aimee up for pyjamas 10mins ago and she hasn't reappeared so I'm guessing the nap has been interrupted
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Sorry, I missed this post earlier. It is hard one, stay in bed and get the rest you need, and be a bit isolated. Do you often 'go into hiding'? I know I used DS as something to hide behind for quite a while, and it is really hard to get out and about now. Not sure what to suggest, I hope you can get something sorted that works for you.

I bought cartons for the formula feeds that Benjamin had. I only bought powder about a week ago because I was upset by mixing my EBM with baby rice and porridge!! So now I make 3oz formula in the morning when Benjamin has porridge (not every day). The cartons are fab, especially just to chuck in your change bag just in case you get caught in a non-BF situation!! I can't open them without spilling formula everywhere though!!

What has she got against the powder? It's not that faffy!? And as MFD says the cartons have their own faffiness

MFD - I have a couple of cartons on standby if I ever need them too. I was thinking about taking cartons on holiday with me as I thought they might be easier, but figured it would probably be as well to take a box of powder and this. I only do two FF a day though, and am hoping to get rid of at least one before we go away. If it's the daytime one I get rid of, I won't even need the powder container.

Weezl - she was giving cartons all the time and then tried her baby on the powder but she (the baby, not the mum :D) sicked it back up, so it put her off and she didn't try again as she doesn't like sick .

    I'm looking at this... http://www.boots.com/en/Tommee-Tippee-Closer-to-Nature-Electric-Breast-Pump_954508/

Can't afford the swing, am a little scared of electric pumps now but think I need to get one to be able to express, spent 40 mins pumping with my little harmony and got a whopping... 30mls

ETA, *swear words* it's out of stick.

Tia, I have the Avent IQ electric pump and it's really good. It is really gentle on my boobs and I could use it with no problems when I had mastitis (even at the stage when it hurt for my bra to be touching my skin). It isn't cheap though - I bought it when I had a £10 off when you spend £70 spend voucher for Babies R Us.

There are four new ones on Ebay at the moment. Not sure how you feel about a used one, but there are quite a few used ones too.

feelie i love the pic its brilliant!

have had lots of tears and now im just thinking shes not worth it, she cant stand the fact that me and my step dad are so close. she just doesnt care about anyone but herself oh and money. she has started on me as what she is doing to him doesnt work. she doesnt know how i am at the moment and OH got a cheeky message saying she has never liked him etc etc. so where do i go from here?, i turned my phone off as im not getting into her games if she is going to be like that then she is no longer welcome in my life. my god i feel crap, just feel that someone is really taking the pi*s, i just went to take neighbours little girl a get well soon card and a car drove through a puddle and soaked me! can it get any worse???

I've got that one :( I read loads of good reviews about it before I bought it. Was half price though so guess it's not the end of the world if I don't like it (or baby doesn't, who's opinion I guess is actually the more important of us). Think Glam has it too. I really like the animal sounds, thought they were really sweet.

Anyway, sorry to interrupt, I'll go back to lurking and waiting till I can join you all properly

Don't worry about it. I have that one and it is sturdy as anything!! My bruiser can't break it...although he can bounce it across the room now

He also has a new trick of trying to do chin ups on the bar :rotfl:I really can't leave him alone in it for a second but he loves it so much that I can't bring myself to put it away :o

I agree the music and bounces are a bit pants and to be honest I thought the teddies were too at first, but Benjamin LOVES them!! It was wonderful to see him go from not seeing them, to staring at them, to waving his hands and batting at them, to catching hold of them and then now he pulls one off and uses it to beat up the others before lobbing them across the room!!

I would recommend it to anyone :D

I've got that one too. I agree the music is pants, and it doesn't really bounce. It only seems to vibrate at the end not where Liam is, but the heartbeat does soothe him. I haven't really used it much cos it didn't really support his head at first, but Liam was rather small. He also likes it when I bounce it with my foot and I haven't found it flimsy  He's not interested in the teddies yet. MFD had the same and she did say Benjamin likes to throw the teddies :D

:D Someone listens to me!!! :D

Forgot to add - DD is now registered with the dentist, she is having a familiarisation visit when DH goes for his checkup in October, I will make an appointment after that for her. Mind you she is quite good at showing her teeth to anyone that asks.

I'm another one for the Medela Swing, I was able to pump loads off when I was at work and the only one I ever got a let down with (I tried a medela mini electric and a TT manual one before).

  • I'm thinking of getting her these, as the paint is contained, but once it's on the paper DD will get her hands involved.

These paints and all crayola things have 25 % off at toysrus - not sure if it only applies online:p
