Fritha - I do try and buy cheaper but I thought using the official site would explain what I meant a bit better.

Weezel - what's the calorie content for mango like? DD is currently scoffing some - when I tried her with it as a baby I couldn't get into her fast enough!

Oldstyle - I try to be old style as possible - it did go a bit wayward when DD was tiny, but I would struggle if I didn't know what I was going to be making for tea after work plus my shopping would be all over the place.

I'm going to have to break out the plastic sheet I bought but never used when weaning as mum is requesting that I buy DD paints after holidays!!
I'm thinking of getting her these, as the paint is contained, but once it's on the paper DD will get her hands involved.

I feel all tearful all of a sudden, and Amber is sleeping and the boys are in bed and I've had dinner (and 2 choc ices) so no need for it! Off to clean something.

[STRIKE]Oh, and Mangoes are one of the 29p (or is it 49p?) fruits at Aldi at the mo.. Saw the advert yesterday [/STRIKE]:)

Sorry, strike that - that was last week! :( New offers on the website now - grapes, tomatoes, nectarines, spring onions, courgettes and lettuce.. Not exactly calorie heavy!

are mums not meant to be the ones that are always there for you and love you and be there no matter what??? you should see the msg my mum has just sent me, all because i asked my step dad to abis party and not her? he is the one who is always there visits the kids and phones every week without fail. she has never been to visit in months and we are always pushed to the side, second best to her lastest man. sorry for the rant im just so angry and needed to get it out???

i'll try him on avocado, but if you can get something with the texture of scrambled egg into a baby used to purees you're a better woman than i :rotfl:
seth has half a mashed banana quite often, but i warn you, it comes out looking and smelling like mashed banana still _pale_
i like to give him that when i know OH is off work the next day so he can deal with it :rotfl:
he has eaten chicken/veg purees quite happily too.

Elle - that is why DD is currently scoffing one - they are also fairly ripe. Avocados are also 29p in Aldi, I have one on the kitchen windowsill ripening as we speak - if it ever stops raining.

Emlou - When I tried Avocado it did blend down to fairly smooth if I remember right.

seth LOVES mango, its one of his faves! i always bulk his purees with baby rice to pad it out a bit and give it some texture too. he eats pretty much anything i've given him really. tonight he had chicken, potato and sweet potato followed by a jar () of blueberry stuff! not looking forward to seeing the other end of the blueberry _pale_
he eats more fruit and veg than i do :o
