And looking at that, Toby is only 3oz's under the weight limit so I need to find somewhere else for himto sit. It has been a fantsatic buy, I just give him toys to hold, o string something across the room.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

I've got that one
I read loads of good reviews about it before I bought it. Was half price though so guess it's not the end of the world if I don't like it (or baby doesn't, who's opinion I guess is actually the more important of us). Think Glam has it too. I really like the animal sounds, thought they were really sweet.
Anyway, sorry to interrupt, I'll go back to lurking and waiting till I can join you all properly

I've got that one too. I agree the music is pants, and it doesn't really bounce. It only seems to vibrate at the end not where Liam is, but the heartbeat does soothe him. I haven't really used it much cos it didn't really support his head at first, but Liam was rather small. He also likes it when I bounce it with my foot and I haven't found it flimsyHe's not interested in the teddies yet. MFD had the same and she did say Benjamin likes to throw the teddies
I also had a gracco swinging chair like this - again, not really very supportive for the first few weeks, but we are getting more use from it.0 -
evenin all!
I have another weaning question that's been bothering DH and I. Since starting to want and eat solids, fergus has been much less interested in taking milk. The foods he's swapped for a whole milk feed don't contain nearly as much energy as the milk he's dropped though IYSWIM?
Does anyone have any links about babies calorie requirements per day? We're wondering if this is responsible for the broken sleep.
TIA for any thoughts or helpful linkies
jillie we have this one from maclaren, I really like it, it has a battery powered vibration setting which seemed to help with gripy pains...

eep, sorry!! it's not that bad, I'm just in a big mood.
ETA, mine does seem flimsy, just where the bars connect, when I pick it up I have to check it's not falling out. May just be a faulty chair haven't seen any others in this style.0 -

Mine seems to be OK - I could be one of the lucky ones - it seems to stay together even if I put it up from the topMaybe someone else can add their comments, I know there are a few other with the same chair!

Back from Cheshire Oaks and just caught up since posting this morning.
Fairydawn - welcome and congratulations on Oscar.
Swimming: Swim Nappy this what I have to use plus a little swimmer nappy for DD's swimming lessons, she also has a variety of baby snugs, and is now in a toddler wetsuit if the water is a bit nippy. The double nappy system is compulsory at the school we use.
Baby bouncers: Didn't buy new, used the one that my mum had left over from her childminding days, then borrowed one from a toddler group.
First Car: I had a Fiat Cinquecento as my first car - my recommendation don't go for a huge engine size, when you find a car you check out the insurance group, the lower the number the less insurance you will need to pay.
Sami - my DD has turned into a groupie! Everytime she sees the computer she demands to see Timmy! and I can't just play the video once.
DD is a little dare devil, the play equipment for her age isn't good enough she has to go on the one recommended for 6 and over

In 2005, when I passed my test and took Pass Plus just after I turned 21, my insurance was just under £800 for a 1.25 03plate Fiesta (basic model). The age groups for car insurance, risk factors and excesses, are usually 17-21, 21-24 and 25+ but for each one there's an extra category like "21 but only just passed" and "25 but only just passed" too.0 -
thank you im just reading all this info about car and insurance and its so much to take in my brain is slightly frying but i need need need and want a car x
Still searching .....:)
