Just wait til he's 12 and you go to get him up for school and his bedsheets are like a tent!:eek:
Yesterday morning I asked Joshua if he could bring his bed linen down to go in the washing machine and he said "it's ok Mam, they're not sticky":rotfl:I only wanted to do the normal weekly wash!
Woke up this morning and Charlotte was in bed next to me. No idea how long she'd been there, but she was just laying quiet waiting for me to wake up!Here I go again on my own....0 -
am I the only one besides Tia that doesn't like pampers wipes? they leave a slimy residue that goes sticky when it driesJakesmummy wrote: »I cant let myself buy anymore wipes, ive been getting a mixture of pampers, huggies and johnsons ones whenever they're on offer and have them all in a cupboard, at last count i had 41 packs!! think ive got enough for now!!Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

That sounds about right. Most up here are about £3.50 an hour. But they'll probably have about 4 or 5 kids at a time, depending on their ages and the restrictions they have on how many of each age at one time.
All the ones around here are between £4-£4.50ph and between £25-£30 for a full day....some even charge £5ph if you just want before and after school care.
The worst one I saw was £30pd/£4.50ph....£5ph before/after school hrs and £2 per meal per child on top of that:eek: How cheeky!!! and if you think how many kids she could have a day...6 kids under 8yrs old (max 3 under 5yrs)...they can then have as many over 8yrs as they want as long as it doesn't impact on the care of the under 8yrs children!!!! Unlikely, but if she did have the 6 kids full time that £900pw
Someone asked me yest if dh was at same Uni - No, he is at The University of Liverpool
He had a 'brainwave' yesterday...apparently we should move to Liverpool, since we are both studying there:rolleyes: I don't mind moving, but now the kids are in school and got mates I would feel bad uprooting them....although I HATE, HATE HATE this stinky cancer/asthma ridden town. It has one of the highest rates of child leukaemia in the country and one of the highest asthma rates in the country too.......dh suffers with sinusitis and was told by the doctor these stats and told the only way to relieve his suffering is to move a good distance away from this town!!
Anyway that turned into a bit of a rant didn't it, sorry:o
Oh and dh wants me to ask - Where is nice to live in Liverpool? It would save us a 40min journey each way;)
Had a bit of a wobble last night, thinking how am I ever gong to leave my baby with someone else...I have never wanted to have my kids 'raised' by someone else...but then looking at my course, I only have to actually attend for 8hrs a week (obviously will need home study time too) and the first yr that may be reduced to 5hrs, as I was told I 'may' be able to use some credit transfer from the Open University for the Literature side of the course:D
Wow sorry again...long post:o I will go now:rotfl:Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

I keep thinking of more things -
Hubby has a talk today with his senior boss - basically we'll find out if he'll let DH apply for the US job or if he's going to stonewall his application (sadly it's entirely legal for him to do so... boo hiss!) - of course DH would still have to go through interviews, salary negotiations etc but he'd stand a very good chance of getting it. He'd have the support of one of the European VPs and one of the UK CIOs etc, but if his "line manager" put a stop to it then there is very little he could do(If that happens though he's already decided he's looking for a job with another company!)
So fingers crossed for that meeting!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Thanks for the nappy help. I'll get some 4+ ones and see if they do the trick. The weights just seem a little odd, so I'm glad there is a size I'm missing out. How silly though, I thought it was entirely sensible for me to go 1, 2, 3, 4 then 5!
Off to coffee morning shortly, yay! Hope everyone has a good morningStay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
You can search by your postcode here just tick childminders and it'll give you a list
http://childcare.direct.gov.uk
Edit - i thought i didn't recognise that first link. Anyway i think this one gives more details on each childminder, i.e which schools they drop off to etc. http://www.childcarelink.gov.uk/
Thanks, I've tried these links before and neither of them recognise my postcode or Cardiff.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -
