My kitten clearly has a deathwish Emlou! Im suprised a tampon wouldn't get lodged or kill him, because there is clearly chemicals in it? He's insane. Currently attacking my wooden wastepaper bin, that is supposed to be in the loo, but Keira stuck it on her head earlier because she was a robot.

It's kinda ming cause - well I leak milk from my boobs cause of the implant and he can smell it and when Im in bed and he's sleeping next to me he comes over and trys to get at my boobs ad starts plucking away at me. It's SCARRRY.

the talk of childminders/nurseries a little back .... i have just looked in my area as it is something i am thinking about and one lady charges £3.25 an hour...surely that isn't right???

That seems about right tbh. If you think about it she will probably have 2 or 3 children to look after not just yours, so could be making more like £9.75 an hour.

I've been looking and I can have a full day in the work creche for £30 or 9 hours with childminder for £32
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Whenever someone finds the "wind down" switch on a baby, please let me know.. He's not even crying, just won't settle in his crib and when I pick him up he just wants to look around, practising his head control  He did last twenty mins on the floor cooing at me whilst I expressed (which probably helped, tbh!) but now he's tucked under my arm, supposed to be resting his head on my shoulder, but keeps leaning round in front of me so I can't see the screen - shame he hasn't worked out I'm a touch typist and can carry on regardless! :p

sorry elle, i am NO help on this one at all, as my little girl still has to be nursed to sleep. she has only gone to sleep herself in her crib twice, and she doens't go to sleep in her stroller on her own anymore either.

I'm just waiting for him to tire himself out. It's actually really nice seeing him take such an interest in everything - he's currently watching my hands as I type. It's fine as long as he's not crying or whimpering - that's what does my head in! (shame he can't read this ;))

i chuffin hate them, they feel wet and dry at the same time, smell sickly and are too thin! huggies all the way. but not aloe vera huggies, the smell of those makes me feel sick, its all about the shea butter :D
having said that, i bought some aldi wipes with the intention of using them to wipe seths face after a feed, and they are quite nice. not as thick, but thicker than pampers, and reasonably nice smelling too. has anyone ever tried aldi nappies? are they any good?

I tried Aldi - but we didn't get an Aldi til DD was a bit bigger - so only the larger sizes. They were great when we used them, probably only at nighttime when she was a toddler.

We had a Lidl first - and I thought their nappies were great! I'm sure i've seen a thread on here about own brand nappies, and Lidl seem to be popular.
Button have you ever seen this book, I got it from the library for El and it's in local dialect and it is really funny tryin to read it.

I remember reading Trainspotting, and it taking me ages as I had to read each line a few times, so my brain could translate from Scottish to English! :rotfl:

Em Just noticed you've set a date when did that happen I'm really bad and miss things!!! Have you picked a venue?
we picked the holiday inn, sounds random but they have a really good package and its really nice, been refurbished a couple of years ago :) it was either going to be that or hiring a hall, and couldnt really be bothered with that. at least with the holiday inn we get a co-ordinator who will put our decs out for us instead of us having to do it on the day!!

am I the only one besides Tia that doesn't like pampers wipes? they leave a slimy residue that goes sticky when it dries :p)

I can't stand pamper wipes - I'm a Huggies pure gal all the way :)

Nappies - I'll buy either pampers or huggies - honestly haven't much preference either way... I like huggies because they have WTP on them lol and pampers because they're on offer more often :D I've got plenty of stocks of both in sizes 3 and 4 (in the loft) which are procured whenever there is an offer on somewhere :D

Like the massive case of Huggies Pure wipes I bought in Tesco ;)
