Ooooohh, I think Rhys just cried real tears! How old has everyone else's LO been when you first saw tears? I read in a magazine the other day that it was about a month old..Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

I used to tease my OH (who is 6 1/2 years older than me) that he was "old" but had to stop because he started to believe me and actually told my Auntie (who is in her 70s) that he was old.
Husband's 14 years older than me. I'm always asking him what it was like having to ride a dinosaur to school. He has yet to find it funny.Yay - well done :j

I'm currently trying to ride out a full blown tantrum... madam has been howling nearly non-stop for half an hour... *sigh* Have now put her in her basket and just keep reapplying Raffi and her dummy at regular intervals... she's got to wear herself out eventually...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Talking of tantrums, my LO seems to have them now. He doesn't cry, he just stamps his feet and waves his arms and makes 'rah, rah, rah' shouty noises!
Sugar - my OH (13 years older than me) also doesn't find things like that funny. When a news story from a long time ago is mentioned, I'll ask him if he remembers it. I'll also ask him what it was like during the war. I'm so mean!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

I wonder if it's a man thing to think about how old you will be when your children are older? I'm don't worry at all about having children when I am "older" but OH does a bit.feelinggood wrote: »

I'm 7 years older than OH, which definitely contributes to feelings of ageing! Don't know if it's a man thing, OH certainly gets anxious at the idea of having children later than early thirties, but I think she's more worried about the pregnancy and birth, than the parenting afterwards!0 -
Caitlyn had tears pretty much straight away... Don't think Aimee had them until she was a couple of months old though... Think they're all a little different...
Tine, sounds like the tantrums Caitlyn throws... The only thing that stops her is hubby picking her up and walking with her on his chest (we think his irregular and very strong heartbeat soothes her) Or me taking her upstairs and lying on the bed feeding her to sleep...
I need to go and get a vegetable of some description to go into a chicken pie... I have a feeling that the local shops all close on a Wednesday afternoon though... But before we can go, I need to get some trousers on and Aimee needs to change out of her tutu and fairy wings back into the jeans and a jumper she had on this morning... Neither of us is inclined to move at the minute though...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

It's funny - where we are DH and I are young parents at 28 and 30? Everyone else seems to be mid to late 30's and we all are having 1st babies. It makes me feel a bit odd TBH. I always hoped that I would have a baby about this age.
Had one of those mornings today. LO was very well behaved until we met up with friends when she got overtired and clingy. I think her teeth are starting to hurt her again. Oh well. Dr's this afternoon and actually think it might be easier to chat to her/him than I first thought it would be. At least i've not had one of those good days and when someone asks how you are you forget all the bad stuff, beam and say your great thanks!r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Well done Mel!!! I'm sure you will enjoy it and do great!0

Krystal - oddly hubby walking her round soothes Alex too - mummy doing it? No effect
she's now had a dose of calpol to see if that helps with whatever is troubling her... It's becoming more of a gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah than a WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH so I'm hoping she calms down soon... I've tried bottles and boob - neither are of interest to madam at the momentDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
