Well done Mel!
You lot have got me thinking about doing a list of presents to buy now. I shall start a word pad file this afternoon.
My Mum is feeding Izzy at the mo - well, trying to instead. She won't eat her veg, and has had a few spoons of pudding. She is now washing her hands in her drink. Daft child!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009
New challenge for 2011 - saving up vouchers to pay for Chistmas!Amazon £48.61 Luncheon Vouchers £240 -
(and "pensioner" is a bad term when I really mean "old tired person" and was thinking 60+
)
I used to tease my OH (who is 6 1/2 years older than me) that he was "old" but had to stop because he started to believe me and actually told my Auntie (who is in her 70s) that he was old.
I wonder if it's a man thing to think about how old you will be when your children are older? I'm don't worry at all about having children when I am "older" but OH does a bit.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

I am excited yes, and a bit apprehensive that I am going to be able to do it, while still spending enough time with the kids.
It is the Education course...the one I really wanted (although not the uni I really wanted but will see how it goes, I may be able to transfer uni's in the 2nd year;))
And Elle...I was just doing my hair to go the shops whilst daydreaming about all the different ways I can drop the bombshell at work!!!
Just going to the shop.....I really fancy a pot noodle:o
Mel x
Pot Noodle.. interesting choice of celebratory food! When are you going to tell them? Nervous about it? How far away is the uni? Do they have childcare? Sorry, so many questions..
Chris did/does that, its his comfort thing, I love it when he choses my hair over his own
Its also quite handy as I don't have to carry around a manky comfort blanket, his hair is always on his head:rotfl:
I should wear my hair down more!0 -

Presumably you need to change something in your settings. The threads always show for me in order of which has most recently been posted on.

How did you know it was my celebratory food, I might have just been hungry:p
I think I am going to wait till the kids are back in school and invite them all out for lunch....we/they all often go to the pub across the road from me so it won't seem too strange.
The Uni is in Liverpool (Hope) I really wanted Chester Uni as it is a better Uni and closer(but full before I phoned), out of the other three Uni's in Liverpool only one other did this course but it was full before I even phoned. As for Childcare, I am not sure how many hours exactly I will need to spend AT Uni, but I will be arranging a child-minder full-time that way she can have Kai all day and collect the older two from school, But there is no way I am going to be having Kai away from me for that many hours a week...I also am planning on taking him swimming and to a mums and tots group from Sept, so will be collecting him early from her on those days:) Just need to find one who won't mind being paid for full-time hours when only caring from them as and when needed:rotfl:
I have sooooo much to get organised now, all the finance, finding a child-minder, buying a car, getting some clothes...mine are like rags, working out when to tell work and deciding when to leave as my course will start before my paid maternity ends, but if I am getting both SMP and loans etc from uni that will mess up our benefits and cause confusion!!!!!
Oh well, not doing anything until I get the confirmation letter from the Uni...she said it should be with me by Monday:D
AND HAIR - Kai just pulls mine till he has big clumps in his hand...it hurtsUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Ooooohh, I think Rhys just cried real tears! How old has everyone else's LO been when you first saw tears? I read in a magazine the other day that it was about a month old..0

Sounds like a good deal for the childminder! (I wonder how long it would take to get myself registered as a childminder?):rotfl:
Is OH at Liverpool Hope too?
OOh - think about the student discount card, and student nights out with cheap beer!
I still haven't started packing - i'll have to do it later now. We're off to the airport in a minute.
DS has been taken over by the devil today! I have no idea whats wrong with him, but lots of banging/slamming/shouting is going on. Luckily my sister is looking after him while I take the girls with me.
Sami :rotfl:at MIL's speeding ticket! FIL would never do anything illegal! I think if my speedo goes to 71 on the trip back, he'd ask me to pull over and fine me! He doesn't seem to have a sense of humour either - or if he has, its not one that I understand.
When I first met him, he asked if I was OH's boss (we met in work), I said, 'No, well only at home' - and he didn't even crack a half smile.:beer:0 -
Mel congrats :T
Weezl please come on quickly and tell us your ok. Hope all is well ((((hugs)))))Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -

There isn't "one" place to be honest... If you are looking for help with your finances and debts then the "debtfree wannabe" board is the place to go, if you want to be more frugal then the "old style" board would probably suit better.
