Though one time I s*** myself, I went to Asda and did a huge shop, and my dad and mum were giving me a lift back, must of came to about £90, and his card wouldn't work in the machine  so he had to swipe it, and I had to sign it.....good job the guy didn't look closely, because I don't really look like a MR, and I did a scribble that resemble OH's name, on the bit of paper he made me sign (which thankfully he also didn't check) So for that reason, I tend to go to an ATM beforehand now. Had visions of being carted away into a backroom and made to wait for the cops as my ice cream melted. Traumatising!
LOL That's what OH does - takes the card in my name and goes to the cash machine first. That said, I don't let him go shopping on his own with it very often.. he's crap at food shopping - gets far too much fruit and not enough chocolate, imho!0 -

OK red lentil soup - the rough MrsT version
About 200-250gr of red lentils
1 tin of tinned toms
2 normal sized carrots - peeled and grated
1 medium onion, finely chopped
mixed herbs (or some very finely chopped rosemary, thyme and basil if it's fresh)
1 or 2 cloves of garlic
dash of olive oil
Approx a litre of veg stock
heat the oil in a large saucepan, add the onion, herbs and garlic and let sweat a little.
add the lentils to the pan and stick quickly, now add the grated carrot. Give a good stir so it doesn't burn. Add the tin of toms (you could use 2 if you prefer) and a little stock. I keep adding the stock gradually as I like mine quite thick - hubby doesn't so he adds extra water or stock afterwards.
Cook till the lentils and carrot are done... take off the heat and blitz with hand blender. serve as is or with crispy bacon on topDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

mel you might not want me to say this but yes I think you're being a teeny bit selfish...
Thank youManOnTheMoon wrote: »To summarise, no more doesn't always mean no more. Likewise, your wanting of one more, may subside.
I don't think that is ever going to happen:pMel, don't waste your money on 'baby juice' watered down fresh NFC juice is cheaper and IMO tastier
I'm sure you'll be fine to wait a few years for next baby, just ask Tara and Triggles their oldest kids have/are having LO's of their own and they've got newborns (:T I take my hat off to them!)
Yeah that's actually what I meant to get:rolleyes: but the first thing I saw in the shop was the baby juice and then I forgot all about the pure juice:o
I am trying to talk myself into waiting...that's what the applying to uni is about....thought it would help pass 3yrs.....dh just thinks I am slightly [STRIKE]insane[/STRIKE] obsessed with it and I need 'help' I just can't seem to explain how strong the feeling is to have another baby, he also seems to think that even after having a 4th I still won't be content and will want a 5thUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Searching, whats up Hun?
Mel, I hope you and OH can make some progress with your dicsussions. It does sound like a tricky situation. I don't think it is selfish to want a baby, it is totally normal. O hope things work out.
Weezl, hope everything is okay. Nothing is too embarassing to share with us.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

mel, is there no way you could wait a couple of years? til your OH has finished his degree?
i'm firmly in the "no more children" camp, i think i would actually be devastated if i was to find out i was PG again. i hated every minute of being PG, recovery from the birth was horrible (even though seth was supposedly an "easy" birth, no stitches or anything) and although i love seth and i wouldnt change having him for the world, he has more grumping days than non-grumping days and i really dont want to go through it again. of course, if we were to end up with a baby #2 theres every chance it could be an angel but i couldnt take that risk
luckily OH feels the same!

Sounds like everyone is having a bit of a mare
Vent on here - it's what we're for
Mel - thank you for taking my "critisism" in the spirit it was meantI can to a degree understand wanting another child, but i think wanting one NOW with everything else etc - yeah it would be a teeny bit selfish
I don't think mid thirties is late to have another btw... if we DO have another then it would be when I'm minimum 32 (I turn 30 in November ) and my stepmum had my halfbrother when she was I think 36 or 37... Dad was nearer 50... It's entirely doableDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
