I can't catch up - you've all talked too much. Been in bed most of the weekend as my cold has turned into a chest infection :( On the plus side it means I'll be due to be illness free come next weekend - our first weekend away just the two of us ;) I can't wait :D

Well done to celia and elija - we have been watching our LO trying her hardest to crawl and getting very excited about it. I can't wait until she can walk :p

right - off to relax on the sofa.....

You seriously haven't spent more then a couple of hours away from her yet? :o You deserve a break you know :D

Yes and yes :D She's only just got to the stage now where I can be fairly confident that she won't suddenly decide she wants milk and won't be distracted!

Fritha, does that mean Celia has never had a bottle? if so was that a conscious choice?

Slightly better today but the massive red patch has came up on my boob, luckily it only hurts there now and not all over. Horrible headache but not feeling sick. Exoressed from the bad side while feeding from the other side and only got 20mls (usually get 40-50) then the flow stopped but it still felt full, massaging didn't help either. Amber has been trying her best to feed, but is being a greedy little madame and taking so much she is making herself sick!

Feeling really guilty, she wouldn't settle last night from midnight (after a 3oz EBM and 20min BF) and I shouted at her to shut up :o:( She was just wanting a cuddle but I was too ill to have her next to me. DH was playing xbox so he came up at 3am and took her downstairs for a cuddle, fed her some formula at 4.20am and she then slept till 9am! Tired to wake her at 8am for a feed but she slept through me changing her bum.

I knew bf babies usually feed more often, but i thought she'd go longer between feeds by now as shes having meals etc? maybe i'm wrong, i bottle feed so don't know these things.

Nope, never had a bottle, we tried when she was small and she was starting to get the hang of it then we started with the thrush and she was having none of it so I just accepted my lot as being a milk machine for the foreseeable future! Turns out she's got a dairy allergy as well (which she may grow out of) so it turned out to be a good thing as formula would probably have made her poorly and I'm pap at expressing (I could prolly get better if I put the effort in but you know, much respect to Feelie and Elle!)

I think it's less a bf thing and more a Celia thing! It doesn't help that she's pap with a cup (sucking good, swallowing dreadful! She'll learn eventually!). We do baby led weaning as well so she doesn't get as much food in. Most of the time I'm quite happy with my lot, sometimes I crave for some time on my own but I figure it's such a short space of time that I'll stick with it as long as we're all happy :-) iyswim

    I'm a big old hippy really ;-)

    I think that's a fantastic attitude :D

I think by a year old though, they don't need so much milk and do need food, but i'm sure she'll get the hang of it soon! :o

    keely.

ps-I've actually considered having baby number two

I think I convinced one of the mum's at boobie group to start ttc #2, whoops! :D

I've only given Ed a bottle once and expressed 3 times, I'm too lazy lol. I'm enjoying my boy just in case he is the last coz hubby is adamant no more babies booo hiss!
