At the time I was posting on your thread Wol, I should have been in the Doctors and totally forgot all about the appointment until 18.45pm by which time it was too late. Will have to ring them with a grovelling apology tomorrow.

Hi everyone ...Gobby here :rotfl:

Well, I awoke yesterday morning all fired up and with a list of good intentions..including posting and replying on variousdiaries here ....but by lunchtime I was :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:

So I decided then and there to quit my activities (on the advice of my builder..:o..).and have spent the last 24 hours slightly spaced out and actually I have completely dissociated again. :(

Yesterday was perhaps one of the worst days i have had in a very long time...:(. Every phone call I made resulted in bad news :(:(:(.....Ombudsman, Hand operation stuff, wood merchants reclaim on faulty floorboards, GP/Hormone appt thingy, job income for next year (in light of public sector cuts), trying to get repeat prescriptions for piggie meds; no progress with any :(...and in fact in some cases lots of steps backwards :(:(

- Then found Gardener has ripped me off big time but my fault :o

........and the list goes on.

So I didn;t dare ring the vets yesterday ;)

Today however is another day: :D:D:cool:

So the Positive news today:
• Ginger will be ready to come home next week :j:j. Woud is now half the size it was.:T:T..but (and I quote) "everything with Ginger is slow"
• Car passed MOT today (phew!!!) :j:j:j..but with warning advisories :(
• Willow going to vet tomoz to have his abcess seen to (nice vet has relented now that Ginger is getting better :D)...and also means Ginger will have new piggie veggie pack (he is being syringe fed atm as he is not eating enough of the vets food :()
• House rectification work going well - (I love my current builders :happyhear- they are SO understanding - top totty even gave me a quick flash yesterday to cheer me up because I was having such a bad day :D)......
• New oven finally at long last ordered and arriving on friday (with Quidco plus cashback :D)
• It looks like I will now get two new work contracts for some money this year (despite the Govt cuts and paralysis that has set in with all public sector sorganisations) which should cover my outgoings on a monthly basis for at least the next 8 months :j:j
• I spent a rather large sum of money at the garden centre late yesterday afternoon :o......for two fantabulous plants that were delivered today (Cornus Kousa "Venus") I have been looking the past year for something with special characteritics that will "fill certain gaps" and when I saw these plants on saturday - which are very popular but rare as hens teeth) I realised I HAD to have them...and luckily now I Do......they are perfick :Thttp://www.moonnurseries.com/files/COKNVB_002.jpg

• Auntie Smashed will be coming to stay for a chill out this weekend (and to sort out the menus for The Rave - she does;t know that yet ;))
• No flooding yet from the stream (touch wood  - thursday is the next big day for rainfall :o)

Head is just about being kept above water..to be honest I'm finding this all really tough atm..and certainly I'm not able to "get on and be as productive as I would normally be"........Regretfully, I have had to go back to baby steps each day :o:mad:

BUT.......I WILL get there (I hope :o)

I have some fabby news that I wanted to share with you Wol (and gang), I have landed myself a job working for Business Scene as a partner and I will be organising all their quarterly networking events in Birmingham and the West Midlands (the next one is in September), I have also been told that I will be involved in other projects too and all these jobs bring in money:j:money:

I did say that I could do it and would land a paying customer one day - one that will pay me oodles as opposed to the odd noodle. Had to laugh too as someone else has recognised my talents and wanted me to buy a franchise for £15K to organise his events but I don't have the cash, don't want the franchise and don't want him skimming off the top of everything that I earn, I shall talk to him and get his information and talk it over with my accountant but my answer will be no (I have to give it due diligence).

Hurrah, this is going to be my year. How odd that I read my stars in the Sunday Express magazine which said that I would be moving in a different direction and this was the week for financial opportunities:D

Wol - as a drunk on the bus this afternoon said to me "every day we spend above the earth is a good day" - don't be so down on yourself and carry on letching at the totty.
