Good morning Wol - the tone of your posts suggests that no matter what trials and tribulations you face, you are now stronger than ever before and can handle any detritus life throws at you. I think that surveyor's report had something to do with that, as it proved you were right all along about Messrs Bodgit, Bungle and Scarper.
Good news about the work front, no need to send Numpty down the docks yet.
As for a surfeit of Monday morning totty, if we all came round that day you would not need to wash your kitchen floor as all our tongues would be hanging out....
Good news re Horace too, any work news is good news in these times. One life - your life - live it!0 -
Blimey, Wol, yesterday was a bad day, sure enough. I'm glad you made an early night of it - sometimes its the only thing to do, its very healing. Sounds like by the end of the day you had turned it around a bit - good for you. I hope the sleep was good - at the moment, I'm going to bed early-for-me, but waking between 2 and 3 - thats better than waking at 4 - I take something to help me sleep, and go right off again.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Sorry to hear what a hard day you had yesterday ...now today can only be better xxx
Hope you manged to sleep ok and well done on the new contract.0 -
Wol - I had your voice ringing in my ears when I did the deal last night - these events are going to be the best ever especially as I shall be getting a 50/50 split:cool:
Its not an op that I have to have on 28th July but a clinic and a visual field test. Will try and come down on the Thursday but have to return on the Monday as I am committed to attending a breakfast meeting on the Tuesday (I am Ops and have to be there - I will have to get someone else to confirm numbers and chase people up though).
I will have a look at National Express - I may be able to go straight from Bham to East Grinstead or wherever I need to go but I understand that Numpty is the expert.
I have an idea about the guy who wants me to buy a franchise - I shall get all the information and then use it in the role that I am doing now which is a better deal (would that be so bad?).
Best go and get some scoff as I am starving. catch y'all later. xx0 -
I think I had better go and get a lottery ticket..I had some more news this afternoon, I blogged last week about the chamber of commerce and they read it and contacted me so we had an exchange of emails and a couple of chats. I was rung today and I said that I had changed my mind and would be renewing my start up membership (needed for this new partnership) so the nice chappie said that he would sort the paperwork out for me and then a while later he rings me again to say that although I would be paying for start up membership (£150) my membership would be upgraded to full membership (which is worth around £400-£500 pa.) and all I would have to pay is the small start up fee. My FSB membership is up for renewal too and as this will be my second year, I only need to pay £120 instead of the £150 that I paid last year:cool:
Had a little spend today - got off the bus in town this morning and it was lashing down and I would normally walk about half a mile to Broad Street to get another bus to the casino for the breakfast meeting - I hurried to New Street Station which was a 3min walk to get a cab.
I hope you're having a better day today and that you have had some more letches:D0 -
First psychotherapy visit for two weeks = it was good. "Retribution" (i.e. not Revenge) and "damages" are the key words this week
Last two weeks have not been good mentally - at least tonight I understand why and hopefully can at some point now stop BEATING MYSELF UP" and "blaming myself for everything that has happened
to date"
!!!! will be hitting the fan tonight :eek:....in the form of thunderstorms and torrential rain....a.k.a. "inclement weather" :rotfl::rotfl:
All piggies now upstairs in house :T- (including Willlow who was returned today following op to excise abcess - hopefully he will not be as bad a patient as Ginger who is STILL with the vets for at least antoher week ....and now has all the vet nurses swooning over what a "lovely mischevious little chappie" he is
:mad:...if only they knew :rotfl::rotfl:......while poor poor nice vet is still trying to slit his wrists as penance (I have told him he is not to blame about "naughty" Ginger but he won;t belive me) and now pooor vet has extra stress/responsibility as he was forced to operate on Willow yesterday by Vulture vet - methinks VV "set him up" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.....)
Just need to give meds and make sure they are plentifully supplied with food and water ...and then I can hopefully sail into oblivion tonight and the thunder and lightning (which I absolutely hate) willl not wake me up
Good news - looks like contracts for income have been secured this year :j:j:j...got purchase order numbers today for a whole year call-off orders :j:j
. Wowsa :T:T:T:T
So if we flood tonight, then que sera sera...hopefully I will still be asleep :rotfl::rotfl:

Excellent re work contracts, one less thing to worry about :j.
I do hope you can stop beating yourself up and blaming yourself for things totally out of your control. I know you can manage this on good days, and hope eventually you will know it to be totally true on all days (as all of us on here know it to be the case).
Sleep well Wol and your piggie family, hope the storms are not too bad down your way.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
