Wol's Riverbank tales: Part 3 Restoration

Well here its folks. It's now two years since I was flooded out and had my home destroyed., 20 months since I had a complete nervous breakdown, 14 months since Beechie boy severed two tendons in my right hand, and one year since I moved back in to find Dodget Bodget and Scarper builders had wrecked my lovely home with their "building re-instatement skills..NOT!"
The last diary was "moving forward after the flood"..
linkie here for those that missed it!
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1409541
.....in reality all I have done since Jan this year is "handled" the aftermath left behind.
However...at least
a) the Bodget Builders were finally kicked into touch in March
b) The client work is now up and running giving me a reasonable level of income each month :j
c) The complaint against the insurance company and all their agents is now with the Ombudmsan (for £76k incurred financial losses as a result of their lack of diligence) :T:T:T
d) New builders have started on the outside erection(s) (with ensuing stream of top totty
) so guineas will actually have somewhere to live this winter and i will have a functional bridge so I can actually get ot my front door without wading through the stream
e) The hospital are finally taking my hand problems seriously and I am now going for diagnostic tests (neuroconductance studies) to see if the ulna nerve from the elbow is causing the problems (something I've been hinting at for the last 10 months!)
So now it really is THE year that I start to get things put right and restore my beautiful home, my finances, and my mental and physical wellbeing.
Most importantly, I would not have been able to have achieved what I have to date without all the support, encouragement and friendship of all of you here on DFW :T:T:T:A:A.....and also my wonderful psychotherapist. Thank you all so very very much.

As you can see there is no resemblance to David Essex (i.e. my electrician - he's due in tomorrow). The above are in fact the guys on site every day ...and more often than not, the tops are off by 09.30am..;)....(awaits phone call from Olive to say she is in the area:whistle::whistle:)
And here is the most lovely piccie of Numpty bonding with a rather mauled Charlie......(obviously this was taken before Charlie decided to wee all over him :rotfl::rotfl:)
That's all for tonight I think...need my beauty sleep.....after all want to look my best tomorrow;)

HI Wol and everyone else. Sorry I have been a bit awol. But we have visitors coming over soon. And I am trying to declutter - without much success, but still trying LOL.
ZTD you do make me laugh sometimes out loud, so it is lucky that I am generally on my own when I read this diary.
Numpty you sound like a right star. Well done on helping out our lovely lady Wol.
Everyone else hope you get better soon (though that might be pushing it in shaun's case:D)...
Wol hell has it REALLY been 2 YEARS. Bl**dy hell gal, doesn't time fly, seemingly whether you are having fun or not. See update on my thread for my highs and lows.
Ref the dandelions, well you get European ones here, ie like in the UK, but also some ones, that look a bit like dandelions, but have petals rather than thin spikes if you see what I mean. Still get them all over the garden though...
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
