You have given them all a loving home and they couldn't have any better care than you give them x

This is so tough for you, Wol - you've faced so many months of grieving for your piggies, so much extra care and heartbreak. I know they bring love too, and fits of the giggles and all the rest. I guess I'm saying, let yourself grieve, and then when you're done, you can remember the happy times.

Looking forward to seeing you for some of our happy times!

Sorry about Iroko, Wol, he looked a right handsome little chappie. As Taxi said, at least he had a good life with you.

    Hi All

Well I'm still not emerged from the funk which has reared up again owing to the fact I am now in dispute with the oak floorboards supplier for supplying 25% of floorboards that in my opinion are not fit for purpose. They in turn are resorting to the classic male tactic of implying I don;t know what I am talking about and that I am a fussy old bag.....(does this sound familiar)....

....THIS IS REALLY MAKING ME VERY VERY ANGRY

and has sent me into a terrible tizzy such that I have not done very much at all over the last 48 hours :(

What IS it with all these people and why oh why I am still such a wimp when it comes to standing up to them. I DO know what I am talking about - I KNOW my instincts are right - I had the same spec of floorboards supplied less than 2 years ago so I think I know what to expect and therefore I am talking from actual experience. I have tried to be fair and reasonable and seek an amicable "negotiated" solution ..... but they just want to insult me :mad:. At present they have my money AND the goods......but I think I have found a way forwards and out of this mess :D

    And breathe...

.Ginger had to have his wounds "glued" back together by the vet today who was not happy at all with what he found, but we hope that if I apply a bit more glue each day he will not have to operate for a third time .

Iroko is now in the freezer awaiting his final resting place in guinea grove ;).
I have discussed the meds with the vet in view of what happened to Iroko and I will now have to dose all piggies more frequently with diuretic (ie 3 x per day) :(.

The kitchen underfloor heating is now laid (by top totty electrician ....unfortunately I wasn;t so lucky :(:rotfl::rotfl:)..and the tiles are going down tomorrow :j:j. The utility is being saved for Stage 2 so at least I keep my washing machine, microwave and sink a few more days until the kitchen is back up and running.:D.

More bodget stuff discovered today  that means we now have to hack off a lot more plaster than anticipated and re-do it :(...but this can all "be handled" within the build contract hopefully  (bless my builders :A:A)

However atm I really do feel like just shutting the door on everything and
    [STRIKE]emigrating[/STRIKE] running away
    :eek::rotfl:
I'm sure everythings getting better - in fact I know it is - just doesn;t feel like it atm. I really need to give myself a proverbial kick....and snap out of this funk.

Tonight I AM going to finish the ironing pile and put it all away (roll eyes)
Tomorrow I AM going to clean the piggies, mow the lawns and start dealing with all my seedlings that need transplanting....(roll eyes) And for the rest of the week I AM going to start working on the garden (roll eyes again!!)

I really need to get my Act together before I lose the whole of May without achieving a single thing on my To Do list yet seemingly busy all day every day running around after builders, totty electrician and piggies alike (bless them all )

Anyhow - hopefully tomorrow will resolve the most recent dispute re the flooring....and I wil actually be able to cross something off my list :)

    xxx
