Numpty - you should have left them to fight instead of intervening, the fox would have had his comeuppance from the three badgers. Badgers have a very nasty bite and do fight especially when cornered.

Wol - well done on the new client, shucks for your ankle (try drinking less anaesthetic and have more water instead that way you won't fall over), good luck with the house. Is your house going to appear on rogue traders along with your neighbour's?

It's 12 months to the day since I started working for myself:eek:

    Morning everyone

Love the banter that's been going on - really cheered me up - thank you :A

Glad you enjoyed your dinner Numpty - at least I know you've gone back properly fed......and thank you for all your help this last week :A

Been up since 5am today courtesy of a very painful ankle :(. It has been OK the last couple of dyas (despite my not resting it :naughty:- naughty Wol) so looks like it's decided to rebel today :o

Yesterday was a mixed bag - car came back from it service all nice and shiny clean :j- and my credit card took a beating for £675  (new wishbone bushes, fog light, and brake pads :()

Finished the client proposal :D and terminated a contract with an awkward (I am being polite) female client :T:T

Found an expert witness survyeyor who deals in professional negligence/contractual disputes who will attend on tuesday to record what we find underneath the floorboards and issue a report :T(and charge an arm and a leg :() Will then need to decide whether and whom to pursue - according to the new surveyor apparently I may still be able to go after bodget builders although judging from Lisawaters thread on here I don;t think I;d end up recovering any money - we'll see what surveyor says.

I am finding things very difficult at the moment - wave after wave of intense emotions - despair, anger, tears, fear - the emotional onslaught feels relentless:(...I really just want closure on the last three years now - but it looks like the fat lady isn;t going to be singing any time soon. Roll on the Rave:dance:
(no don;t worry folks, I promise I won;t sing in July  :rotfl::rotfl:)

Not surprisingly, I worked my way through a bottle of wine yesterday evening and went to bed at 9pm :)

Busy weekend packing everything up and generally preparing for two months with no kitchen and a load of dust - will be batch cooking a load of stuff that can be microwaved, doing all washing/ironing, cleaning piggies, etc etc

Spent this morning so far going through all flood emails to find and send relevant documentation to new surveyor to read in advance of turning up. (He sounded really nice on the phone - hopefully this will be one more totty to add to the collection ;)) It's very tempting to stop everything (the Obudsman, the new issues regarding surveyor) and just walk away - but there's a lot of money at stake and if I don;t recover at least some of my lost savings I won;t have anything for my old age. :o At the moment I'm using up the money mum and dad gave me when they moved house which should really be seen as my inheritance.

I still have write the reply to the Ombudsman (will do that today) and take lots of photos to ensure I have a full record of all the current defects in the house. (but roll on next week :j- at least by wednesday the view will have changed dramatically - no defects but lots of totty :drool: :rotfl:...I promise I will post piccies girls ;))

Right, best get out of the dressing gown and start [STRIKE]whooshing[/STRIKE] hobbling :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh Wol. This just seems to drag on and on and on for you, doesn't it..... it doesn't sound like you're going to rest your ankle today either .... if you *have* to iron, can you at least do it sitting down, with the ironing board sort of nestled on the sofa arms or something? Do you have soothing music on? I'd normally say get up and go music, but I don't think thats an issue with you.....

Well, I'm thinking of you, anyway. I was in Haywards Heath yesterday, looking at a house and checking the area - the more I go there, the more I like it, everywhere you go there's green spaces here and there, its lovely. I just need another hundred grand so I can buy a *really* nice house *very* close to the station, and I'm set :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You take care of yourself :grouphug:

Good evening Wol, hope the ankle is starting to feel better. Two months of building work.....at least you can look forward to a fabulous new kitchen, plus the possibility of some semi-naked suntanned totty when the weather gets warmer. Mind you, according to the law of Sod, when the builders show up they will all be pale and flabby with a rear cleavage you could park your bike in......
