I feel somwhat better tonight having addressed all you lovely people who are still posting on my thread. Thank you all so much...you are very important to me and are my dear friends as Nargle has so rightly observed

OK I am going to concentate on the positives:

    a) I now have a firm hold on the build contract/specification.budget and it's do-able with far less disruption than originally planned
    b) All will be done in plenty of time for the Rave
    c) New top totty landscape gardener appointed to plant piggie lawn and generally [STRIKE]tidy up[/STRIKE] completely reconstruct garden
    d) I have sorted all my "discontinued" wallpaper problems
    e) I have spent 3 days (being paid :D) to reconcile a load of accounts for a project I used to run two years ago
    f) the piggies are holding their own :T:T
    g) my hand surgeon is currently stuck in Gran Canaria playing golf (courtesy of the vlocanic ash) and therefore will, I hope, be far more chilled out when I (finally) get to see him on the rescheduled appt of 11th May..the op will have to be moved to June now - but hopefully that will to screw up the build/reorganise house/prepare for Rave arrangements
    h) I have found out that local auctioneers include a supercilious sneering arrogant *****.....I will never have to waste a 90 minute round trip pandering to said ego again :p
    i) I am now having my hormone probs sorted out (LOCALLY :T:T) on the NHS since my private health rejected my claim
    j) A Knight in furry armour (and lovely friend) is coming to stay tomorrow :D
    k) Loads of lovely friends have posted on here :A, despite my going AWOL and I love and value them all..thank you everyone.I really am very appreciative of all your support..:T.sorry I'm being such an incredible wimp atm :o

There's a few more things but that'll do for now ;)

    Back tomoz

Will ring you Hun and me and "Sir" will visit/conflab ;)

Also if you are interested, I have found new "top totty" landscape gardener who is looking for work atm. He is going to put down the new guinea pig lawn for me and possibly (if financially viable) returf some of existing lawn - plus take out a load of aged shrubs, stake back a few others that went droopy in the snow, etc etc. He would love your garden in view of other work of his I have seen (and he is very reasonable in price......also not gobby......and his shoulders are to die for :D)

    xxxxx

I'd love to meet up! I've got Egyptology on the Saturday, but how about the Sunday? But alas, more expenditure on the garden is not on the cards, even for a top totty gardener - even tho it hurts my hands, I can prune the shrubs, I've put most of the permeable membrane where it was supposed to be. I do like the sound of him tho, so if the spreadbetting works ...... :rotfl::eek:

Main message is yes, I'd love to meet, if your schedules can do it too.

Hi Hun....you are totally right not going to the family do!!!!
    (1) You have made prior arrangements with someone you want to spend time with
    (2) You don't want to go and that is totally YOUR choice and YOUR deciscion to make ..nobody elses.
    (3) You do not need to please anyone in life only YOURSELF
    (4) YOU are not letting anyone down
    (5) YOU have no need to feel guilty about anything.

I am sure this continuing psychotherapy is doing me good long term..and I veiw it as a once in a lifetime opportunity...but sometimes I really DO battle with it atm as I know now I cannot ever go back to who I was..nor would it be good for me to do so..but I'm not sure I like the "person" I am at the moment :o...even though this may be a transition or "limbo"phase IYSWIM :o

The state of mind you're describing is exactly that, a necessary phase of therapy. You're deconstructing the old way of being, and building a new one - and you know what thats like with houses! We're exactly the same - a renovation always causes massive dust and disruption and general mess, and thats what your guilt, and your not sure-ness that you like yourself are. Its definitely a transition, don't worry :kisses3:

Ooh, didn't see the above v positive post, Wol, cos I know from experience that the red quote button disappears when you go to a new page. So, excellent - focussing on the positives from all the messages really *did* help! Lovely.

    Hi Wol

Sorry haven't posted on here in ages and sorry you have been feeling so low. That said your post from the early hours this morning does sound much more positive so I'm glad that even though there may be down days there are also times when things feel better and progress more likely.

Like the sound of your new totty gardener (see if you can sneak some photos;)) and lovely for the piggies to be getting a new lawn :j. I saw some lovely new looking dandelions at the weekend but after a moments thought decided that they wouldn't survive posting!

Do take care of yourself - or better still get Numpty taking care of you instead - did you hear he has learned to cook? (well at least one dish anyway :D)!

Just catching up - sorry I havent been around, I have been intensely busy..still in the process of tidying up ready for a nice man to visit me on Friday afternoon to spend 2hrs showing me how my new bloggy thing works. Was out all day yesterday - first it was a breakfast meet and I had been given a job that I don't normally do and the gestapo-types were there from HQ so I got told off for not knowing what the job was and not doing it properly:mad:, that was followed by a pretty intense meeting with the gestapo types, these nincompoops announced that they were going to set up a new breakfast meeting in Bromsgrove so I said that we should re-brand our group to incorporate Bromsgrove as it is 10 mins drive from our current location and were they aware that the building in which we were sitting actually pays its rates to Bromsgrove District Council (how I love taking the wind out of nincompoops' sails). That was followed by a lunch meeting with someone I met last week trying to sell me utilities only I wasnt having any of it so we are friends instead. Then I was invited to Dudley & District Business Club (a friend drove) and I had a 2 course dinner with coffee & mints for £10 - I paid £25 for annual membership today and I think that dinner will then cost me £15 - but there are some nice business peeps there and I have been put in contact with a woman who sells weddingy things but doesnt have a planner working for her (nor does she have any planners advertising in her posh magazine).

Was at eye hospital today - fabby news, still no sign of uveitis (need to keep with the steroid drops once a day to both eyes), the pressures are stable and I don't need to go back for 3 months.:j

Things are picking up for me too - at long flippin' last:D

As for chaps widdling in the garden - remember to get them to widdle on your compost heap as it does wonders for the compost.

I now have a vision of Numpty sitting on a stool (like a garden gnome) armed with some ballbearings, stones or other hard round objects and his catapault aiming for rattus rattus:rotfl:

    Enjoy the totty.
