Left over wine - good for use in gravies and sauces. You can freeze it in icecube trays if you think a half bottle on the side in the kitchen might be too tempting.

It actually never fails to amaze me the hurt & pain that people inflict on others.
How can a mother not side with their daughter in those circumstances.
    Taxi~you are one amazing woman.

This thread has had me in tears this afternoon... I have no adequate words to say what I want to convey... Taxi, you are a lovely, caring, strong woman who shouldn't have had to go through that. :( Please take care and be gentle on yourself. xx

Thankyou so much everyone.Your words have been a great comfort to me.Sorry I didn't make it clear to you in my posts the 5 children I have are from previous relationships(only 2 mind I'm not a slapper)...which makes MR Taxi even more amazing as he took them on as his own ...he turned my life around ..it's amazing what a good man can do.

Wol...sounds like that book may be working for you as you are already drinking less.Going to the band sounds like a good idea as well.Hope you've had a good day today.

Gosh taxi i have just read this when I saw the mention on your thread, and I am even more in awe of you than I was before. You come over as so strong and capable, and yet you had that hideous childhood. I am glad you found the lovely Mr Taxi. From the way you are dealing with the debt it's obvious you have a great reserve of strength and determination so I am sure you will be able to put the toxic experiences of your past behind you and deal with all your issues, including the weight and smoking, once you have worked out exactly what is behind them.

I admire you for posting that, it can't have been easy, and hope you find the book helpful.

  • Taxi...your post made me cry and then made me feel angry for you. What a monster and manipulative enough to get all the family on side. Your 'bad' behaviour is a classic sign of what you went through and unfortunately for you that probably made it easier for your family to turn their back on you as they could just pass it off as you being 'bad' again...how absolutely horrific and hurtful for you.

That man (he is no man!) has already taken so many years from you, please pluck up the courage to see a counsellor if you feel your current issues could be related because I hate to think he could 'take' anything else from you.

Be careful with yourself for the next few days, you have really revealed alot and thought about alot by the sounds of it so thats bound to have an effect, so please be kind to yourself.

    Take care
    KM x

You're one brave and gutsy lady Taxi.

Sorry I haven't been on here Wol (sending grovelling apologies), I have been a bit busy. My posterior is less sore now and I have been eating 400mg x 3 Ibruprofen every day and bathing in a salty bath - I too have fallen on a concrete floor after being shoved off my heels at a party by a twit that called himself Monkey (that guy had serious issues:mad:), driving home from Manchester wasnt a pleasant experience and I have no idea how I managed it:eek:

I got my earrings back on Friday and had bribed her with the promise of a slice of gateau from Druckers (I couldnt be bothered to go to town to buy it), she flopped on the sofa and pretended to be tired and I stood there and thought that she looked like a fat sleepy walrus, anyway I eventually got her to shift and get a wriggle on as I had work to do - I am sure she was hoping for some lunch but I said that I had eaten already:rotfl: She is going to keep in touch but I am adept at avoiding people.

Went to Spring Fair on the 2nd day and the last day - I met a company called Italian Options who sell bits and bobs to make Italian bombonieres and so I mulled over an idea in my head and went back on the final day to place an order for a whole pile of samples (to play with really) and the precious machine, two postboxes, some silk bouquets, favour boxes and 2kg of chocolate dragees, oh and some ribbon. Part of the order has arrived but not the machine or the bouquets which are on back order...yes I will bring some to the shindig when I have an idea of numbers.

I have other news too - news that will mean that I shall soon be very busy indeed and details are to be finalised when out in Gran Canaria (now I can truly claim the 'holiday' as a business expense:cool:). I have been asked by the biggest wedding & event planner on GC to be his UK agent (not sure if I have mentioned it on the forum before):D

Saw the IFA too - who told me to pay off my virgin CC (I will pay it off next month), have paid my visa card and my amex card, put £1K into my business account, £4K in a savings account where I can draw on it if needs be and when the new financial year starts I will be putting £5100 (new limit) into my ISA...so that's the remainder of my compensation divvied up:cool: I still have my MSE ways although you wouldnt have thought so earlier today:eek: Firstly I went to Primark and spent £19.50 on 3 bikinis and some boxer shorts for me and then I set foot in Telly Tubby Towers (Selfridges:eek:), treated myself to a jolly nice lunch: tomato, mozzarella with pesto on ciabatta with a ton of rocket and a side order of handcut chips (I need to go on a diet, I saw myself without clothes tonight and it was an horrific sight:eek:) and then I ventured into Fenn Wright & Manson clutching my 20% money off voucher cut out of Woman & Home Magazine, got myself an acid green vest top and a loud lime green trenchcoat that I have been lusting after for months..so saved myself £135:cool: I nipped into the basement to get some posh wrapping paper and bought a card for beechie & co (I couldnt resist it and they are bound to love it). Also went to eye hospital and my eyesight has changed slightly and again in MSE style took in my old frames and asked that they replace the right lens only which has cost me £78 - was offered the voucher I get from the NHS for having poor eyesight but said that I would rather keep it until I need some really new glasses.

Guess I had better think about having a bedtime drink - its a 6am start tomorrow, its the networking breakfast and I have to leave the house at 7am to go to the bank and to walk to the venue which is a good 2 miles.

I think I will order the book because I too have a toxic mother.

That's a brilliant suggestion Nargle thank you :T. I love sloshing wine in my cooking....and that way I won;t have an excuse to open a new bottle (purely for the cooking you understand :D)

We've got sunshine up here after yesterday's snow

Which band you going to see:D:T

Reamonn......German, rock with piano as well as guitar :D

Grommie had his teeth done today without anaesthetic :T:T.....and has clearly fallen in love with the lady - I have never seen him content to lay on his back in the crook of someone;s arm before whilst exposing his tummy and naughty bits for all to see.......(bit like Bandit is with you Numpty :whistle:)

None of the others needed teeth doing but all claws cut and pigs coats checked for mites/fungal and found negative. :T

All breathing sounds fine so looks like current meds are keeping things at bay....:rotfl: (except of course for Muffin but heart disease is degenerative and she is finding it increasingly difficult to breathe easily now as the fluid builds up, even though we have upped her meds :() ...

All pigs pronounced in very good condition, :D:D with good weight/coats etc and the lady is in love with Maple . Despite this, Beechie was still a very well-behaved boy :A:A

She suggests dosing with an anti-fungal before resorting to biopsies as the symptoms are also similar to systemic fungal infection in the guts/lungs so will contact vet to get prescription.

Feeling a bit more positive about the pigs now in terms of sword of damocles hanging over their heads.....looks like vulture vet may have to wait a bit longer for another body :D

Loving licks to you Hun from Beechie
