Hi Shaun my sheepie friend :j:j
Glad to hear things are settling down for you, dad is OK and that you are now getting over the lurgy (hope you didn;t pick it up while you were this side of the water........:o). In the absence of grass at the moment ( my guineas are suffering too) I suggest plenty of Vit C and Zinc
9 days no ciggies is brilliant :T:T...keep going Hun....hopefully your nose is cleared enough to be able to appreciate the now absent accidental aroma of burning wool

Client mucking me around again with changing appointments meaning I have to reschedule all my work :mad:
Now got to do full assesment and write up (10 hours work) before tomorrow morning so won;t be back on til tomoz at the earliest...but at least my income for this month is now back on course
Good news - GP will refer to specialist in London for the hormone stuff in light of the complicating factors.....:T.
Bad news - private health computer won;t automatically cover it as my policy conditions have been eroded over the years and I am no longer covered for Harley Street consultations(unfortunately specialist doesn;t consult at a private or NHS hospital for which I am covered).... so long winded special claims case needs to be made
-
Good news the lady was extremely helpful and is going to personally walk the whole thing through the system and try and get me cover to go.......:D
Prebooked another appointment with the GP in three weeks to deal with the hand referral...and will then need to book another one in 3 months to get the liver/blood test/cholesterol issues sorted (the sudden elevation in cholesterol last year could be due purely to the booze and they couldn;t prescribe statins until I had chucked the booze in - will now take 3 months and we will then see if cholesterol gets back to normal or if I need a prescription).
Another letter from the Ombudsman today (my case is now with a third adjucator as the previous one left :eek:)....a lady this time...who wrote last week saying she has chased the insurance company for a response. This letter today though is the standard fob off - enquiries are continuing and she will write to me again when she is "in a position to do so" ...
I'm now getting ever so slightly annoyed as to date I have received .no proper reply to my complaint last month about the time taken to deal with my case and request to be prioritised....(although she did end her letter today "thank you for your patience" :rotfl::rotfl:)...so maybe she is actually doing something???
On the whole however.......
Yay :j:j:j:j:j Things do seem to be moving in the right direction...
..:doh::doh:...maybe I shouldn;t have just said that......
...Wol hurriedly crosses all fingers and toes, all piggie paws, touches wood and rushes off in search of lucky heather, 4 leafed clover and rabbits feet.:D

coughs...at the reminder about the Diary of Horace Wimp:p - I happen to have a copy of ELO's Out of the Blue on blue vinyl still sealed, bought an ordinary black version to play only I havent made the little model that came with it and that is still with the album.:D It also reminds me of the time when I was 18 and used to go drinking with Bev Bevan:cool: (my misspent youth).
I think I want to be a deborah meaden type person - she is pretty smart, acid wit and all that but she has her head screwed on..don't compare me to Rachel Elnaugh who is a complete cow..I had to bar her from following me on twitter, certainly not a nice woman, she is bitter and spends time moaning about her company red letter days and how she was swindled out of it by other dragons..uhm she wasnt swindled out of it, it was a ruddy good idea but she failed to pay her suppliers and thus her customers lost out:mad:
My accountant had to re-arrange so didnt come round yesterday (good job really as I was surrounded by boxes), was going to a women only networking do on Friday but that has been cancelled because only 4 of us are going (insert banned rolleyes smilie here). Clarins Spa rang to ask if I could change my appointment on Monday to 10am instead of 12.30 - so I made a show of looking in my diary before agreeing:rotfl:
Need to go to the stationers tomorrow for a really large jiffy bag - the towels are ready to go now that I have given them another wash and I found yet another towel that I have never used still with a tag on it and the piggies can have that too.0 -
Good job on the referral...hope the insurance gets sorted for it.
MMMM...to the ombudsman...hopefully they'll get something done sooner rather than later.
Hopefully you'll not need the statins now you've got the alcohol sorted.0 -
Ginger in posing pouch and ELO- The mind boggles, it really does
Just a wee vignette- my Violin tutor played with ELO in the early days- didn't do me much good thoughBut i reached an O' level pass in the darned thing! Much to the relief of the neighbours
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

Ahem...Wol coughs loudly (not difficult owing to ciggies)
I have been a fantastically fabulously frugal female today (and generated extra £4k of new business today for April)...until I went to Tatcos Express tonight and bought a bottle of wine
:(:(:wall::wall::doh::doh:
I know why...I'm seeing a client tomorrow (an old boss of mine.... who, despite our periodic personal entertainment/explore new opportunity meetings over the last few years ...has in Jan asked someone else (no commment on their abilites :mad:;)) to head up a new venture he is participating in... which i would have been VERY able and extremely interested to do..and it is "the most brilliant opportunity and one thing i aspire to".
However he has "only" asked me in Jan to "sort out his current office"......no mention of " do you want to head up my new venture".
Pah and Pants..........self esteem = 0:(:(
To rub salt into the wound....tomorrow I now have to go in and rectify said "usurpers" deficiencies....at no cost to them..and do the job this person was employed to do....for which I get paid a fixed fee of not very much.....:mad::mad::mad::mad:...Talk about being exploited....
...so how "helpful" should I really be;);)....in these circumstances (insert confused smiley)....
Self esteem rating now ......-100 :eek::(...that's MINUS one hundered :eek::(
Bottle contents down to 50%...:eek::eek:..Wol scurries off in search of ice cube tray (thanx Nargle :kisses3::A).....and recces the graveyard opposite for bunny activity (thanx for top tip Numpty)
xxxx
PS Pah and pants to Ommbudsman :mad::p
PPS Looks like shindig now rescehduled for 31st July - you have 48 hours to let me know if you can;t make it ..otherwise it will be forever fixed in [STRIKE]stone[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]cheap[/STRIKE] MSE reinforced concrete :eek: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
