Ho hum said Pooh
I was going to post a momentous post tonight :eek:...but I'm still working things through in my head and trying to get it more down to "Numpty"- style..;)..so I'll post tomorrow :cool:
Some of the piggies need a bit more attention tonight so I need to go and start that pretty soon. However quickie update for the "week off work":- I didn;t even get to first interview for the job (not really worried :cool:)
- Sent in another job application very early this morning (7am :eek:) for which I am prefect but it will cost me too much to travel into London ..nevertheless i need to go through the process and see if I can negotiate an alterantvie arrangement that I would be happy with (it's <1yr fixed term contract)
- Work is up to date :T
- Washing is up to date :T
- Arachnoid numbers are reducing :T
- Piggies need nore attention
...but have ordered all necessary stuff to arrive early next week
- Still "taking the tablets" :T
- Lots of bitty bobby stuff cleared off the list :T (unfortunately involved spending money
)
- Still motivated, making good progress and feeling good as of tonight :T:T.

Chickens still laying most days, although Rocky is losing the odd feather now and then, and some of Lou's eggs have weak shells so are no good. They still manage to rip the garden to shreds thoguh, when I let them out for the odd half hour.
Glad to hear you're feeling better, I am also a compulsive list-maker, and I feel good when I have crossed off jobs from my list.
Horace busy as ever I see, it's exhausting just to read her exploits.
Spider problem - you can borrow my chickens, they'll soon see them off. Mind you, after that you'll have to move house as yours will be full of chicken sh*t.
Good night and sleep well.One life - your life - live it!0 -

HI Nargle :wave:
I read on the troll thread that if your chickies moult they stop laying :eek:
so I'd like to cancel my previous wish please ....:o....so sorry my dear didn;t realise .....obviously wouldn;t wish an egg famine on you just because I am looking forward to warmer weather:rotfl:
As for the chicken [STRIKE]!!!![/STRIKE] droppings- my garden needs some good fertiliser - the piggies (blesss their littel furry socks) try hard but theirs doesnt quite have the desired effect owing to all the wood shavings which don;t compost well
I am curious to know if your chickies, in view of their obvious talent for stripping gardens :cool:, would be able to see off the unwanted "Rattus" vagrants that have taken up residence in my compost bins...although having said that my house deeds ban me from keeping chicken on the premises and I'm sure the nosey old codger up the road would be happy to report me (again) to the council.:mad: even if i invited yours down as "guests" for just a couple of weeks
(Last time he reported me for having a ton of rat poison outside my house :mad::mad:.....it was actually top dressing for my lawn :rotfl::rotfl:)
The Council man (unfortunately not top totty)....thought it was highly amusing - until I explained to him that the police already had 3 valid complaints on file (anonmyous letters/threatening texts and the like) from me against them for harassment :eek:. Then he promised to "get my drains sucked out" :eek::D:T
Loved your comment on Hypnos thread,..you have a true gift for painting verbal pictures :rotfl::rotfl:...another Nargle classic. :T

Well everyone.....
I feel like I have had a singularly uninspiring and unproductive day and I'm not quite sure why (I really do need that confused smiley). I have drifted around not being able to "setttle" to doing anything and wondering if i am still on this planet :eek:.
One bit of good news is that I whilst sorting out my paperwork over the last few weeks I realised I had amassed some Tatco vouchersso I decided to make the 30mile round trip :eek:.....for my weekly shopping today (there is not one near me..I have a choice of a small Sainsburys or Waitrose
).
This week's shopping came to £49.68 ..:T...but 32p short of the 5p off petrol coupon :mad::mad: ...and for which I paid the princely sum of £19.68 once the vouchers had been deducted :T
And I suppose if I'm honest, I did spend the first two hours this morning drafting a letter for a friend of mine to kick Apex into touch for £17k because they can;t provide a CCA...
And then i changed the bed and put the washing on
And then I went through the cupboards and freezer and have started meal planning spreadsheets :eek: (the shopping bill included £5.00 dried guinea pig food, £4.00 light bulbs and 7.50 green veggies for piggies :eek:...i.e. not much for me this week)
And I have now set up an ebay spreadsheet to monitor all my (impending) sales and done some research on what I will be listing tomorrow
And I have been going through a lot of calculations in my head about my SOA and how i intend to manage the business expenditure vs the personal expenditure/budgeting
And i unstacked the dishwasher
And I cleaned the top oven (not very well:o).....
And I gave my piggies a lot of cuddles...:D...cos things aint going too well with them atm
Hmmm...maybe I;ve done more than i thought :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ssssshhhhh :shhh::shhh::shhh::shhh:....Have spent the last three hours trying to "bond" Grommie with Ginger........no fisticuffs yet (insert praying smiley) and they have both now been relocated from the sofa to Grommies cage...:cool:
They;re clearly both pining for their respective girlie partners who have passed over the bridge; and neither of the boys are doing so well atm
..so I'm really hoping they decide to be friends
. It's very nerve wracking though
(insert biting fingerails smiley
)

I have had a day like that too Wol- then i decided to cook. I always do when i am stressed, not particularly good for the diet...but very frugal.
I have a rough list for the week of what i want to get done whether it will happen or not is another matter..but it's a start
Wishes GP's luck, they sound a lot better now.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Hello Wol. Sounds like you had quite a productive day really, when you list all the things you got done, so no hair shirts please and put those whips away.
Chickens-wise, if I introduced them to a rat then I think one of my girls would just flap and squawk around like a big tart, and the other would just sit there cooing at it. Therefore I think we can safely assume they are not much use in the rat-catching department, methinks.
Have a good extremely productive day (or say sod it and take Sunday off).One life - your life - live it!0 -
You did loads! And I agree with Nargle (well, I agree with one of her options
) - say sod it, and take Sunday off

hi wol, i'm going to be following Bob and doing some baking today. OH is back to work after a week off and he's working 12 hours - do they not realise we're a newly married couple and tomorrow is our 3rd anniversary of 'meeting' each other and today is valentines day????? I'm also visiting a friend this arvo, so will attempt to bake cookies/cake, create two masterpieces of cushion covers and have meatballs and spaghetti on the table when my wonderfull OH gets home.
at least i've done the scratch cards.
went to Aldi yesterday and picked up 2 cabbages for 29p each so the piggies and bunny can have some greens. They love cabbage.0
