I have a rough list for the week of what i want to get done whether it will happen or not is another matter..but it's a start
Wishes GP's luck, they sound a lot better now.
Well that is quite spooky BOB...cos I was intending to batch cook yesterday but lost the will following the visit to Tatcos (mind you is that surprising? :rotfl:)
Anyhow I have made up for it today - defrosted the freezer and inventoried contents - sorted out all freezer storage boxes that had been cluttering up the kitchen cupboard....and realised I don;t have ANY of the right "one portion" size so have decided to resort to plastic bags.
Made a lamb mince base with celery onions and tomatoes - used half of that to make a moussaka for dinner (and lunch tomorrow) and split the other half into two portions for the freezer. Then used beef mince to make two bolognese portions and four chilli portions. So £5.00 of meat has made 10 meals . I have enough freezer contents to make up at least another 30 meals so my shopping up until the end of march will be mainly veggies (mostly for piggies) and milk. I (should) have enough cleaning and laundry stuff for at least a month.
I so so SHALL be frugal and fabulous
Hope you;re well and that Mr Bob is still "illuminated"

Nargleblast wrote: »Hello Wol. Sounds like you had quite a productive day really, when you list all the things you got done, so no hair shirts please and put those whips away.
Chickens-wise, if I introduced them to a rat then I think one of my girls would just flap and squawk around like a big tart, and the other would just sit there cooing at it. Therefore I think we can safely assume they are not much use in the rat-catching department, methinks.
Have a good extremely productive day (or say sod it and take Sunday off).
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Love your chickens characters Nargle - do they have names?
Hairshirt is in the process of being consigned permanently to the bin :T- one of the big "light bulb moments" in counsellling this last week was seeing the (quite alarming) extent to which I apply the whips; the reasons why I do it; what circumstances trigger it and how that manifests itself in terms of emotions and behaviour (both before and after the flood as there has been a massive change in the "methods of application" between those two points which had confuddled everything)
Wol awaits invitation to join Opus dei:rotfl:.

You did loads! And I agree with Nargle (well, I agree with one of her options
) - say sod it, and take Sunday off
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:...I was tempted.....actually intended to watch the rugby and do the ironing but then the freezer and the batch cooking beckoned ....although I did fall asleep on the sofa for a couple of hours earlier this evening
Full day's client work tomorrow...actually I'm looking forward to it :eek:...but then I always do when it;s a new client....and it;s what I call a "one touch" assessment meeting..It's when I have to work with someone over a longer period of time and they start taking me for granted that the problems start

OH is back to work after a week off and he's working 12 hours - do they not realise we're a newly married couple and tomorrow is our 3rd anniversary of 'meeting' each other and today is valentines day????? I'm also visiting a friend this arvo, so will attempt to bake cookies/cake, create two masterpieces of cushion covers and have meatballs and spaghetti on the table when my wonderfull OH gets home.
at least i've done the scratch cards.
went to Aldi yesterday and picked up 2 cabbages for 29p each so the piggies and bunny can have some greens. They love cabbage.
OOooh... lucky OH :T:T......you are very industrious LT - really hope you two manage to get some quality time together over today and tomorrow.......;)
Wow - good deal on the cabbages...wish my piggies liked cabbages as much as they like spinach, romaine lettuce and pak choi ..(clearly they have [STRIKE]sensitive[/STRIKE] expensive tastes :rotfl::rotfl:).There is an Aldi opening up in the town near me in late spring so I am really hoping to be able to cut down on the piggie veggie bill this year. There's also a LIdl opened up in another town about 20 mins drive away so I might start going further afield for the veggies in the future.
Happy "first meeting" annivesary for tomorrow :beer:

I did think about chocolate - but in this Tatcos there was nothing in my vicinity except bottles of wine and I was SO NOT going to buy one
We've had some "rumblestrutting" (randy noises and posturing) from Ginger...but no nipping or biting which is good :T.....Grommie seems quite OK with Ginger although I am worried he is not getting his fair wack at the mushy food (Ginger loves it) The last few weeks on the mushy food diet Grommie had actually put some weight on around his backbone and for the first time in over a year he weighed over 1100g and actually looked bright and healthy :T...rather than his previous " doddery old emaciated git with dandruff...:rotfl:"
But along with the current sudden weight loss, his coat has got thin and scurfy again..:(..and he is more lethargic .:(. Guess it really is now time to book him in to Cambridge and get his teeth done, hopefully this won;t be for the last time as it's always a worry seeing as how he's so old now. Have decided to also take up Iroko, Beechie, Maple and Willow....as I think they all need checking over...not quite sure how I;m going to fit them all in the car for such a long journey....might need to get a roof rack.... and avail myself of LT's piggie service station :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi Wol! Your post was late again, tut! I hope your big client meeting goes okay todayThis week's shopping came to £49.68 ..:T...but 32p short of the 5p off petrol coupon :mad: ...and for which I paid the princely sum of £19.68 once the vouchers had been deducted :T
I love the piggy talk, tho the worries you have show the downside of being a pet owner - there's a white cat round here thats starting to take over the territory that was left open by moggies passing over the rainbow bridge, and he's quite a character ( = he's scratched me **deep**!)
I'm living on Tatco deliveries - I do love that name - I'd like to be able to find the energy to actually *get* to a supermarket, but tis not to be, not yet anyway.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
the LT piggie station is open don't worry, just in case you need it.
My piggies aren't really all that picky about what they eat, it's the bunny who's the worse one - will only eat green things.0 -

Just HOW big are these guinea pigs??!!!???? (visions of guinea pigs travelling along the motorway with their heads sticking through the sun roof...)
My chickens are Rocky and Lou, the fish are !!!!!!, Dom and Basil, and the cat is Albertus Tiggerus. We have quite a little menagerie here!
Opus Dei - are you a Dan Brown fan then? I have read and enjoyed The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons and the Lost Symbol, they certainly keep you wanting to turn the pages. One life - your life - live it!0 -
Hi gang
Extremely miffed off with my friend - she contacted me late on Friday to say that she had gone up north to do an assignment and then sent a text on Saturday to say that she was still up north and would be back Sunday - got a text Sunday to say was driving (funny she sent me a text message - so can't be doing both) and invited herself round today. Was forced to tell her that I was on a course today and she could come around on Tuesday afternoon - I shall get my earrings back and that's it I am not wasting my time with her again. (I had 2 NSDs over the weekend:j)
Had a mind mapping course today which was great fun - it was free and included lunch (plus I got picked up and chauffeured by the guy running the course - eyes are blurry so driving is dangerous:eek:), got a lift home by an attendee of the course too - we had a conversation about faith and multiple religions and so I recounted the time when I asked a woman wearing the full hibab if she was hot inside it (well, I was sitting in the waiting room at the eye hospital and was bored so wanted to make conversation:rotfl:). He told me that he used to work in qatar and they have ann summers' type shops over there that are even more racy and yet the shoppers are women in full hibabs..so they may look boring on the outside but they're racy on the inside:eek:
Have a meeting with IFA tomorrow - tickets have also arrived for my trip and if I am honest my living room is becoming messier as I am now piling stuff up on top of the suitcase so I don't forget it...there's a lot of planning involved - its like a military operation:rotfl:0
