the LT piggie station is open don't worry, just in case you need it.

My piggies aren't really all that picky about what they eat, it's the bunny who's the worse one - will only eat green things.

Thanx LT - got the guineas appointment confirmed - will send you a PM tomorrow to see if we can meet up en route ;).....(special request of Maple and Willow...who are dying to [STRIKE]get their leg over [/STRIKE] meet your girlies :D

Just HOW big are these guinea pigs??!!!???? (visions of guinea pigs travelling along the motorway with their heads sticking through the sun roof...)

...with shades:rotfl:....I tried to find an image of the Gforce piggie in the boys toy car but Google wouldn;t oblige :rotfl::rotfl:

My chickens are Rocky and Lou, the fish are !!!!!!, Dom and Basil, and the cat is Albertus Tiggerus. We have quite a little menagerie here!

Aha - I was confused because I thought Rocky was a rooster ...I take it chickens don;t need male company to lay then? (Wol clearly needs to learn more about chickie facts of life....they only taught me about rabbits and amoebae at school.... not birds and bees :rotfl::rotfl:)

Sounds like Albertus is in seventh heaven .....fish and birds....what more could he want??.

Opus Dei - are you a Dan Brown fan then? I have read and enjoyed The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons and the Lost Symbol, they certainly keep you wanting to turn the pages.

Yep - well spotted!! I have read the Da Vinci code which I enjoyed and then watched the film. I bought Angels and Demons DVD recently at knock down price to "help erode" Mount Kilmanjironing  but haven;t read the book. Must look out for the Lost Symbol next time I am in the (posh) charity shop ;)

If you liked the Da Vinci code you might also like Katherine Neville's "The Eight"......

    Love the new avvie :j:j

Hi Wol! Your post was late again, tut! I hope your big client meeting goes okay today

Was the "desk top assessment" today pre the client meeting - that's why I was looking forward to it as didn;t need to journey out in the frggin cold weather :rotfl:...having said that I have been wrapped ina duvet all day, chilled to the bone and have;t finished the assessment yet (But will do tomorrow )

Quoting this again reminded me of it, so I've quoted it again too ..... couldn't you have bought something costing 40p to get the 5p off petrol coupon? Or would the vouchers (brill! by the way) have made you ineligible for that anyway?

Had no idea I was so close to the £50 until they totalled it.....and I was in the process of getting very bad supermarket rage  cos they didn;t have anything in that I had specifically gone there for (like gluten free stuff)...so I just paid and made a quick exit.

I think I am going to order on line next time :rotfl:

I love the piggy talk, tho the worries you have show the downside of being a pet owner - there's a white cat round here thats starting to take over the territory that was left open by moggies passing over the rainbow bridge, and he's quite a character ( = he's scratched me **deep**!)

OOoh ...deep scratches not good KC - naughty cat........hope you have throughly cleansed it and it isn;t causing a problem - when i was a kid the next door neighbours cat used to scrath me and they always turned septic :o

I'm living on Tatco deliveries - I do love that name - I'd like to be able to find the energy to actually *get* to a supermarket, but tis not to be, not yet anyway.

Careful what you iwsh for KC (about the supermarket visit I mean....of course you want your energy back and I do understand how frustrating it is for you atm)

However, going back to supermarkets......watch out... rant about to commence!! If my last few supermarket expereinces are anything to go by, you might find your next visit disappointing! I normally go local to Sainsurys - but can go to a big one in Surrey every thursday after counselling or (like last weekend) g to tatcos in Crawley.

None of them ever have in my full shopping list of staples - ie spring greens, spinach, value carrots, value cos lettuce, gluten free proper pasta (ie not their own brand free from stuff which is yuk), gluten free Mrs Crimbles fruit loaf, value kidney beans and value chopped tomatoes. I filled in a survey recently on supermarkets and sroced them all miserably for adequate stock on the shelves :mad:...oops sorry rant over....

Having said that I have never tried the Asda (or is it Morrisons?) down your way....perhaps an expedition is called for once this cold snap is over?

Hope you had a good day with your mum and sis today and managed to stock up!

    Hi gang

Extremely miffed off with my friend - she contacted me late on Friday to say that she had gone up north to do an assignment and then sent a text on Saturday to say that she was still up north and would be back Sunday - got a text Sunday to say was driving (funny she sent me a text message - so can't be doing both) and invited herself round today. Was forced to tell her that I was on a course today and she could come around on Tuesday afternoon - I shall get my earrings back and that's it I am not wasting my time with her again. (I had 2 NSDs over the weekend:j)

Pah and pants to the friend ....(Beechie is happy to send you some poos in an enevelope that you can forward to her once you have your earrings back.;))...Yay for the NSD's :T:T

Had a mind mapping course today which was great fun - it was free and included lunch (plus I got picked up and chauffeured by the guy running the course - eyes are blurry so driving is dangerous:eek:), got a lift home by an attendee of the course too - we had a conversation about faith and multiple religions and so I recounted the time when I asked a woman wearing the full hibab if she was hot inside it (well, I was sitting in the waiting room at the eye hospital and was bored so wanted to make conversation:rotfl:). He told me that he used to work in qatar and they have ann summers' type shops over there that are even more racy and yet the shoppers are women in full hibabs..so they may look boring on the outside but they're racy on the inside:eek:

Have a meeting with IFA tomorrow - tickets have also arrived for my trip and if I am honest my living room is becoming messier as I am now piling stuff up on top of the suitcase so I don't forget it...there's a lot of planning involved - its like a military operation:rotfl:

Sounds like you;ve got everything organised on the "value for money" business front again.....well done Horace - and LOL about your conversation on your way back :rotfl:

When are you going to warmer climes? And will be you be taking the reconstructed pink suitcase?

Sounds like with your expereince of military ops you should be coaching the police into sorting out the spaced out alien living in your neighbourhood :rotfl:Any word on that by the way?

  • I am a Dan Brown fan, and i prefer the books to the films :( they are good in their own right, but after reading the book i feel slightly let down..

Haven't read 'The lost Symbol' yet so that is on my to do list this week.
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

Hee hee BOB - I have just been on Hypnos thread and seen the pootlers and procrastinators discussion :rotfl::rotfl:..I am deffo pootling atm

So as motivation.........I will put up my "Ironing to Angels and Demons DVD" against your "read Lost symbol" on this weeks to do list .......

....maybe that will motivate both of us to tick off one more item than perhaps we might have :rotfl:

Actually to be fair it will take longer for you to read the book than me to watch the film :D....-hmmmm....... but it will also take longer to finish my ironing than it will for you to finish the book

:think: OK...how about BOB.reads 2hours worth of The Lost Symbol..... and Wol does 2 hours of ironing :T:T

Good luck - we shall regroup on saturday and swap notes ;)

Morning Wol! Yes chickens do not need a bloke to produce eggs, the eggs they lay (and the ones you buy in the shops) are all unfertilised.....I didn't know that either. Katherine Nevill's The Eight - got it, read it loads of times, love it.
