Fitzio - my examination was mega painful. Not sure if it was because I was 6cm dilated or because she was rough - I was climbing up the pillows to get away from her :rotfl:
(probably shouldn't have told u all that!)
I had three sweeps with dd3 and the last one was like this - she said before 'you have never had one of my sweep!' and i had never had one like it!! so painfull, but on the way home my waters went and the contractions started so did the job................( i prob shouldnt have joined in..;) sorry)GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. when i wasn't dilated (2.5hrs earlier) another MW inserted a speculum to have alook which wasn't painful at all. Went from examination at 6cms to birth in 1hr 45mins.
I have a little grumpy man today - I'm wondering if he's not well. Daddy's been ill the last week so I'm thinking my baby has caught something off him. He's really not himselfA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

i wouldnt worry to much if you can
Thanks for this - were you ok after your bleeding?
I wish doctors would just explain a bit more - they make us stress unneccessarily!!!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

lol!! dd was my 3rd baby and it was just over 9 hrs from waters to birth!! was quicker then my other girls but still long!! If i had stayed at home i think it would have been quicker as i had a planned homebirth but got transfered in and everything slowed right down and i didnt dilated for 2 hrs because of the stress i think....
I am soooo sick today!! really cant face making dinner!!! think its going to have to be pasta and something easy for the girls and a take away for us!! i just cant face cooking!!!!!GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. 32b - hope your appointment goes well and its been a long wait for you - its not always good getting a early scan i had one this time as i was bleeding and it was horrible having all the stress and worry and would much rather have waited for my 12 week one... Had to have one with dd3 aswell because of bleeding - they are stressful(ive had a few mcs so i guess i just panick and have heartattack at any sign of blood!!!) when is your appointment??
Might have to find the partenting thread later (didnt realised there was one) As i guess that would be the best place to find out about baby led weaning???
Hope your all ok today - i feel a bit sick - but i like it as it reasurse me things are going ok (fingers crossed)
Hiya, there are quite a few fans of BLW on the parent club, we quite often discuss it, and you'd be more than welcome.
I just noticed we're both going for the small age gap thing! Yay! How are you feeling?
can I be a bit old mother hen-ish and ask if you're taking a good iron supplement, and if not to pretty please invest in one? It's something I didn't know about small age gaps so now I'm telling all my friends:D

I got the Calcium with Vit D from H&B - think it was 250 tablets. I only put 1800mg in my plan as my tablets were 600mg and 1,200mg was the RDA and I wanted more than that - it was only £3.99 in the sale but back up to £7.99 now.
Arnica - I got the 30c ones off ebay. 84 pillues for about a fiver.
Cheers for the extra info Glam, shame they aren't still in the sale, but will see what Boots have to offer now as leaving work to have a gander. If they have the arnica there I may just get it as the price seems comparable to Ebay.0 -
Afternoon Ladies!
It's all getting very exciting on here what with Jam's waters, ML's contractions and now Fitz's sweep. Could be all go, go, go this week!
Off to ante-natal in a bit. Trying to decide whether to eat now, but I'm not that hungry, or after but then it will be gone 9 and give me heartburn. Decisions, decisions.....
One working day down, three more to go. So much to do though but I'm trying not to let it stress me out. By the weekend I won't care anyway!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
I like Megan, Amber, Millie, Holly and Ellie from that list. Amber and Holly are on our shortlist. I know a few people who have used the others so they are ruled out.
Can I ask where Arwen is from? It's very unusual (surprised that someone else knows someone with it!). Is it from Lord of the Rings? We actually quite liked the name Lyra which is from The Golden Compass. I think it's just a made up name from that as I haven't come across it anywhere else.
Just a quick post - The book I read said Arwen was a name invented by Tolkien for the LOTRs books - although it does sound like a lot of welsh names. OH doesn't like it because it's a 'made up name.' :mad:Mum to DD born Oct 2009
