Just a quick post - The book I read said Arwen was a name invented by Tolkien for the LOTRs books - although it does sound like a lot of welsh names. OH doesn't like it because it's a 'made up name.'
that's interesting Jennynoo, I'd just assumed it was genuine cos it's so like other ones like Tegwen...:o

Hiya, there are quite a few fans of BLW on the parent club, we quite often discuss it, and you'd be more than welcome.
I just noticed we're both going for the small age gap thing! Yay! How are you feeling?
can I be a bit old mother hen-ish and ask if you're taking a good iron supplement, and if not to pretty please invest in one? It's something I didn't know about small age gaps so now I'm telling all my friends:D
This little one is due 3 days after dd3 turns 1 so a nice small gap!!it might change after scan as i cant be sure of dates as it so close to dd3.... I am just taking Sanatogen not anything else...didnt think to
I have had my first set of tests back at iron is 12.5 at the moe so fingers crossed it doesnt low.... should i take a seperate supliment then?/?????
Will pop over to the parenting thread later when girls are in bed...
Have been good and got my act in gear and im cooking a spag bol (first time without ragu sauce so fingers crossed it tastes nice lol) But as its late now the girls have had pasta and ill freeze half the spag bol for another night when i feel rubbish.....GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. Gill - lots of hugs and sticky bean dust to you. I went through similar stresses with spotting and rhesus neg as you - so know exactly how you feel. I am just typing out copying from some nhs leaflets i have on rhesus neg and spotting.
I have had two cases of spotting the 1st sadly ended in a miscarriage and the second is progressing well (23 weeks now)0 -
I've been taking iron since reading it's a possible reason that pregnancy within 6 months of a previous one is considered more risky. They think that maternal depletion of iron leads to the placenta not forming properly in some cases. So I thought it would be a good idea to give myself a good booster. Just thought I'd pass on the advice.
Happy to give more info if you like, but didn't want to bombard you with geeky facts!
I've been taking 1-2 a day of the spatone iron sachets from mothercare... as they don't cause constipation

Hi weezl,
just a thought, but might it be worth keeping an eye on your calcium levels too? I don't know how it would affect two pregnancies close together, but I'm a twin and I remember my mum saying the only pregnancy that really used up her calcium stores was with me and my sister: maybe kinda the same with two pregs close to each other?
I don't know the technical stuff (and I'm sure you've looked into it already) so I hope you don't think I'm trying to tell you stuff you already know about0 -

Thanks squishy
I'm going to look into calcium a bit more cos a couple of people have said that now, so I'm sure you must be onto something. I'll post what I find if others would be interested?

Evening all hope everyone is well.
Disastrous day for us, they have released my sis. Can't believe it, they have referred her to her GP. They know that the meds are not working but done nothing. It took 6 nurses to control her last night they have offered us only "call the police if you need help". Apparently going from someone that wouldn't say boo to a fly to a raging maniac that wants to kill herself and anyone that gets near her is not a mental problem. She's been out an hour and a half and has already kicked of but apparently she is fine. so so angry at them she was a bigger hand full than the schizophrenics yet she was kicked out
need to console myself with food since a stiff drink is out.
Appropriate vibes to everyone. Any baby's appeared today yet??[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

There is some research apparently that taking an ante-natal supplement with omegas in it is also beneficial with pregnancies close together, particularly if you breastfed, as these get depleted quickly and low levels predispose you to post natal depression. I know that Holland and Barrett do a pregnancy multi-vit with omegas 3 and 6, plus folic acid and iron.
I'm probably being silly, but I have a strong urge to call my OH and ask him not to be late home from work tonight. Have been having strongish BHs for an hour or so, but that's not all that odd for me over the last few weeks. When I went into labour with my DD I asked him not to go to work that morning, even though I had no signs that anything was about to start, and didn't actually go into labour until late in the evening. Am I being irrational and demanding though?
Also spent an hour wrestling with my bugaboo today, and I just can't work out how to fit the seat unit in the rearward facing position and then fold it down. Off to watch the youtube demo AGAIN to see if I can crack it!0 -
Always interested weezl
32b - hugs. I can't believe they let her out0
