Evening all hope everyone is well.
Disastrous day for us, they have released my sis. Can't believe it, they have referred her to her GP. They know that the meds are not working but done nothing. It took 6 nurses to control her last night they have offered us only "call the police if you need help". Apparently going from someone that wouldn't say boo to a fly to a raging maniac that wants to kill herself and anyone that gets near her is not a mental problem. She's been out an hour and a half and has already kicked of but apparently she is fine. so so angry at them she was a bigger hand full than the schizophrenics yet she was kicked out
need to console myself with food since a stiff drink is out.
Appropriate vibes to everyone. Any baby's appeared today yet??
Sorry things are difficult with your sister 32B. Would it be worth phoning MIND in the morning for some advice? I've no idea what the law around mental health issues and detaining people against their will is in Scotland, but in England the professionals are quite limited in what they can do, except in the most extreme cases, if the patient won't consent to treatment. Unfortunately what the professionals and the law considers to be extreme is often a far higher standard than what the family considers to be so.0 -
Weezl i would definitely up the calcium, MIL had OH straight after a full term still birth and lost all her teeth. OH lost most of his teeth basically when they came in by the time he was 15 he needed false ones because he had a calcium deficiency threw it.
Sorry that sounds scary but they were worst case scenarios.
And weezl are you using washable nappies, how are they going and what kind. i have got some cotton bottoms and was wondering how non terries perform.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

I've been taking iron since reading it's a possible reason that pregnancy within 6 months of a previous one is considered more risky. They think that maternal depletion of iron leads to the placenta not forming properly in some cases. So I thought it would be a good idea to give myself a good booster. Just thought I'd pass on the advice.
Happy to give more info if you like, but didn't want to bombard you with geeky facts!
I've been taking 1-2 a day of the spatone iron sachets from mothercare... as they don't cause constipation
Hi Weezl,
Just thought I'd let you know that I was already taking 2 spatone sachets a day when I was diagnosed with anemia. Not sure what the iron content is on them compared with the ferrous sulphate. May be worth checking. I would gladly take something else other than the iron tablets because of the other *cough* effects of them but they have made a difference (got rid of extreme tiredness and restless leg syndrome) much more than the Spatone unfortunately but not sure why0 -
Thanks for the iron advice fidget!:A I shall certainly check! Grrrr mothercare
32B I am indeedy using the washables, but with one eco disposable at night, as they stop him waking in the night just cos of a wee:o.
Bambino mio ones have worked well for us, and we also like mother ease wraps and one called henpressed that I'd love to find more of, but can't work out who makes them. We've also tried terry squares with nappy nippas and plastic pants, but they make his bottom so big it seemed to affect his learning to sit up!!!!
HTH, and feel free to ask any more. What are you thinking of using?

Hey ladies
hope we are all doing ok.
My GP diagnosed me with SPD again last week its really doing me in especially with the school runs there and back twice a day is just under a four mile walk
Got over a month til the other house is ready so im just going to have to persevere until then.
I was just looking on ebay at support belts i remember the one i had with DD2 from the physio was rubbish and i found this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ADVANCED-MATERNITY-PREGNANCY-BELT-Strong-Support-Size-L_W0QQitemZ110352364971QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Baby_Maternity_Pregnancy_MJ?hash=item19b18375ab&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ht_3308wt_1165 has anybody tried it? Or knows if its any good? Its quite a bit of money to spend if its not going to work
Help please x0 -

I've got cotton bottoms and a pack of kooshies for OH to use so he has no excuses lol
Done very well with them all £50 for the birth to potty set and a pack of kooshies(around £35 alone) and swim shorts for a girl pity i don't know what i'm having. i was considering disposable pads for use at night did you try them or jump to the nappies for ease?
Also do you use washable wipes OH thinks i'm nuts but i used terries cut up with other two when i ran out of wipes so was going to go the full hog lol And (nearly done honest) do you use nappy wash/nappysan etc how often etc and are they ok when dry paled sorry but i don't know anyone that has used modern washables to ask lol[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

The GP said i would have to wait for a refferal from the midwife and i dont have another appointment with her until next week, with DD2 the one i got from the physio didnt really help and was really uncomfortable especially when sitting down, and this is when it is hurting the most at the mo when i go from sitting down to attempting to stand up.
Hope you and Jack are doing well Glam x0 -
Its like a 1980's lycra miniskirt (if you are as old as me) which sits over bump and bum and covers up undone waistbands. They have them at amazon for about £10 and ebay even cheaper and mine helped my normal clothes last for ages. In fact, if it wasn't for the fact my thighs increased to gargantuan size I would still be using it. Can't wait until after the birth so I can use it again and get out of these damn jeans. Sick to death of them now, I want my nice clothes back!!!!!
xxxx
ThanksI just wondered how your pants were meant to stay up lol
gill - I had the blood tests done at my booking appointment with midwife at about 8 weeks, did the doc tell you that you have to see her?
Also if you are Rhesus Neg I think you are ok for your first baby its the babies after that that you need injetions for
Lou - awww that was really nice of him lol
Glam - I hope Jack feels better
gill - what kind of spotting is it? is it pink or brown? cos I had brown spotting at 5-7 weeks with slight cramping

weezl - I was going to give terries a go, but now that you said that about the bulkiness...maybe a smaller size would've helped?
