Ooh thanks for this Fitzio. We have just placed an order :T We decided to treat baby (and ourselves, hehe) and have ordered a Slumber Swing, a Nostalgia Velour all in one and a feeding nightie. Used the £5 gift card that came in the catalogue so at least only had to pay some of the delivery :D

I know the swing is not very mse really but its the only thing we have really splashed out on as up to now pretty much everything we have either bought on tesco or boots points or second hand off ebay or in a sale. Feeling pleased thats a couple more things ticked off the list to buy :j

Love the purchases! And quite right to treat yourselves. Everything I have bought has been new (but I haven't paid full price for anything!!)

Squishy - think it's time for another wee bounce now that dinner has gone down! Will bounce and watch Waking the Dead I think.

Three - Hello! Not long to go now.
EA - Hello! Bet the thread picks up if you can post from work now lol!

Nikki - Hello! Focaccia sounds lovely, but too much hassle for me. I need to start with more basic breadmaking I think. I didn't realise you had been having contractions already. Make sure and keep us updated with how you are getting on. Don't think you are going to last until your planned section date!

    Hey ladies,
    How's everyone doing today?
Sorry not got time to catch up at the min, just wanted to pop in and say hello as I've not been on all day :) Will catch up properly in the morning.
In a bit of a strop - went out for lunch with OH's family and we were talking names, mentioned that I love the name Emmeline and my sis-in-law (without the marriage) said 'Oh you can't use that, I'm going to call my daughter Emily', erm...ok?! 1/ You're not pregnant, 2/ You may never be pregnant, 3/ You may never have a daughter. ARGH, really made me upset as it's the only name OH and I both love and she's ruined it :( She said it in all seriousness too...eurgh.

Don't let her annoy you gymfiend: it's a lovely name and all your points are right so use the name you like :) It's nothing to do with her what you call your baby!

Lol, i was reading on the eBay board about goofbay and how you can see how many watchers an item has on eBay but only if the item has a bid already.

So i wanted to see how many were watching some Mothercare leggings, so put a 99p bid on.

I won! The last pair i bought went for over £6 so i didn't expect to win.

Only prob is, they are size 'M' - any idea what that means in numbers?!

Gym - how does she know you haven't been planning to call your baby that since you were 8 years old?!!? Cheeky bint, tell her to get stuffed.

    Ok, I lied...here I am catching up!!

Kindof - have you got a proper bump already? So jealous if you do! My jeans etc all fit fine, tops just make me look like I've eaten too many pies!!

Princess - congrats on baby Lily, she's a little beauty :)

SJ - hope the wedding went well yesterday, not sure if it was in Leeds or not but if it was, the weather was absolutely lovely, really hot and sunny all day :)

GISI - I sooooooo want one of the rocking animals, they're brilliant, we popped into M&P's today and saw loads of them with different designs, it took OH to physically restrain me for me not to walk out with one!!

On Nikkit how horrible :( So glad you're doing ok now, x

    Welcome to Jemw :D

Thanks ladies for the reassurance on names, I just hate hate hate people sticking their noses in. I said I loved Conrad for a boy and got all sorts of nasty comments from OH's family, idiots. They still have the cheek to take the p*ss out of it now - what if I choose to use it?! I love Tobin for a boy too - they've had a good laugh at that one too but for the time being it's the name we plan to use so that'll be nice for our kid! My mum and dad will express an opinion but never nastily, especially when I've clearly said 'I think we might use this name' - why would anyone say it was awful?!

  • I agree with Kindof, my sis in law was telling a friend what names she had picked for her baby and low and behold when the friend gave birth 1 mth before SIL she used her choice of boy name she was livid just as well she had a girl after all that.

Keep it to yourself until they are here, then sod them if they don't like it.lol
