sorry to hear about the problems you've been having Nikkit. Hopefully baby will hang in there and in a couple of days you will be able to relax and concentrate on healing.

Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09 :beer:0 -
Ooh Fitz, how exciting to have the base in your car! I know I'd keep looking round at it when I was in the car!
I have some proper MSE news- for anyone else suffering from stretch marks Bio Oil is currently £10.80 for 200ml on Amazon plus free delivery. Almost half the price of Boots.
Weezl- thanks for the sleeping info. I'm liking things which help but take no effort on my part (much as I enjoy being on all fours over a gym ball.....):DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Hi Everyone
BeenieCat gave me a link to the thread to come and join you all, so just thought I'd pop by and say hello!
Being a week late, we did a test this morning and it was positive. Very, very shocked at the time, but it's kind of sinking in now. We're both very happy and actually stopped using contraception a few months ago. However, due to lots of different reasons, we haven't been officially "trying".
Anyways, enough rambling from me! Does anyone have any advice for an anxious first timer? Oh, and should I read through all 233 pages of this thread?
Thanks in advance
Jen & Nugget (5+1 - we think!)0 -
Nikkit sending huge hugs and healing vibes your way, we'll all be thinking of you.
Finally went shopping but didnt get much, bought a box of raspberry leaf tea just so I didnt come home empty handed! OH's home now so having a late tea, baked chicken with a med tomato topping, potato wedges and sweetcorn both done with veggies grown on the allotment so hopefully it'll be yummy. Then scones for pudding!
As an added bonus Im off work tomorrow too, its the start of my shortened weeks at work and my glider chairs being delivered. I cant wait to try it out!Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
Welcome Jem! Huge congratulations. Best advice is to try and relax as much as possible, and rest as much as possible!
Feel free to ask any questions you have- between us all on here there is quite a wealth of knowledge- baby related and money saving.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Welcome Jem and congratulations.
Don't put yourself through reading all of the thread!! Unless you are really bored! If you have any questions, just ask and people will be happy to recap if it's stuff that's been discussed before. The same things must crop up all the time anyway as there are always new faces.
Advice is - make sure you are taking your folic acid. And keep your fingers crossed that you don't get morning sickness!0 -
Hi Jemw, welcome!! Congratulations on your BFP!! :T
Only advice I would give is if you are a worrier, try not to worry!! Lol!! Not that I could help it but my MIL said to me to stop reading so much on the internet (that bit I couldnt do!!) as it is the most natural thing in the world (that bit did help).
Hope that helps!! xxBaby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0 -

I thought I had found a bargain the other week and bought Bio Oil, but only when I got it home did I realise it wasn't actually Bio Oil brand. Looks like a cheaper imitation (think I bought it in Asda or Boots). Hoping it will be just as good though. I already have stretch marks so it's more to get them to fade hopefully.
With regards to the car seat, I was so embarrassed as I don't have a baby yet!! And I am embarrassed to have the base in the car before I have a baby too lol. Keep thinking people will think I am a fraud and have jumped the gun! Hope it's only for a few days though.0 -
How frightening Nikkit - I'm pleased you're both ok and sending lots of 'stay well' vibes to you
