Nikkit - sorry to hear about your rough few days, I hope you and baby continue to improve xxx
jemw - welcome and congrats, oh and I think reading all 223 pages you may end up with a headache!
Fitzio - yeay for getting your base sortedAm looking into getting our seat belt buckles shortened so we can have the Maxi Cosi Easybase, more for pace of mind and convenience. Not very MSE but safety is paramount.
Gisi - good find on the bio oil, i picked mine up on fragrance mad, they do it for £10.89 for 200ml. dont know how long it should last but will get some on Amazon when it runs out then can collect my nectar points too
It's the Maxi Cosi Easybase that we have got for the Cabriofix seat. The base weighs a tonne! You probably know that if you have had to try them out in other people's cars!0 -
Evening all,
nikkit - glad they got the cyst sorted out, and keeping my fingers crossed for the baby: you take care of yourself.
Jem - welcome! I wouldn't read back all the pages unless you have a lot of time on your hands
Fitzio - I have to admit we've had the carseat in the car for the past 4 weeks since our overnight stay
Been spending a lot of time on the gym ball today, trying to encourage the baby to move down: dunno if she has enjoyed this, or just what I've been eating today, but she was a bit more active today. I just am slightly worried that I'm going to go overdue as she hasn't even started to drop yet and I'm due in 9 days!
Quick question about rlt - how quickly can we increase the amount of this we drink? For a number of reasons, I haven't started yet so would look to start tomorrow. I know we're meant to increase gradually, but I don't have a lot of time left potentially! Can we start at more than 1 cup a day, or increase more quickly?0 -
Test post: I think work have unblocked me posting, but i dont want o write a long one and not be able to post

Squishy - I have the RL capsules, and on the jar it says take between 3-6 per day but I also read an article that said you should start at 1 cup or capsule and builed up gradually. It also said it depends on the manufacturers instructions. What does it say on the packet?
I only started taking the capsules last week so might up them to 4 per day this week. Don't get stressed over it though. If you are going to go overdue, you can work at upping your levels over the next couple of weeks. If not, there is no hard proof that it will definitely help you anyway (but worth a try!)
I have been bouncing on the gym ball for the past few days and I am walking like John Wayne! Are you feeling that too?! I haven't dropped yet either but sometimes it doesn't happen until you are in labour anyway, so no bad thing!0 -
Really am going in a minute, but was just checking the bouncing chairs on the M&P website and noticed they now have an "OUTLET" section. I think that must be new as I haven't noticed it before.
Anyway, it seems to have some good bargains/reductions on there (only checked the maternity clothes and a couple of other sections in it). Just in case anyone is planning on M&P purchases, it might be worth checking.
Ooh thanks for this Fitzio. We have just placed an order :T We decided to treat baby (and ourselves, hehe) and have ordered a Slumber Swing, a Nostalgia Velour all in one and a feeding nightie. Used the £5 gift card that came in the catalogue so at least only had to pay some of the delivery
I know the swing is not very mse really but its the only thing we have really splashed out on as up to now pretty much everything we have either bought on tesco or boots points or second hand off ebay or in a sale. Feeling pleased thats a couple more things ticked off the list to buy :jBaby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0 -
Woohoo! It worked
Well work must love meI started reading all the twighlight ebooks again cause i got so bored just reading on here and not being able to post.
Im 15 weeks today, time is going fast in a slow way
I actaully finsihed work 20 mins ago but stayed behind to catch up, even though i just skimmed the thread
Baby event starts in 2 days and im poor!but we move into a new house on the 21st, eeeh so excited.
Me and OH are trying to plan what i exactly should be doing. So far i thought i could be at the new house, my sister at the old house and OH and OH's bro doing all the lifting and moving
Went to the docs on Friday, told him i've been feeling faint and exausted alot and he took my blood pressure then put this little thing on my finger to test my heart beat.
Then ask me to hold my hands out in front of him, they were shaking for some reason
So he said he thinks it could be an over active thyroid and has sent for more blood tests and another ECG recording cause my heartbeat is irregular.
And i asked if he could do my exemption form and he said the midwife was meant to do it, but he filled in his parts and gave it to me to finish and send off.
And i've packed my stamps away lol. I dislike buying stamps, they are to much money! lol.
Hope you all are well.
Congrats to the those who hae given brith (princesswoo i think?)
And congrats to the newbies!x

Oh Nikkit, sounds like you've had a horrible stressful time. Will keep everything crossed for the rest of your pregnancy.
Weezl - so glad you're back. Yes it is the pitting oedema. Hope that does mean that things are not far off, as I'm so sore and uncomfortable now that I'm literally counting down to the end.
Somnium - the foccacia wasn't hard, but it was a bit of a faff, as needed lots of resting time. Was loads nicer than shop bought IMHO though, and would impress if you were entertaining. I used 500g of white bread flour, 1 sachet of easy yeast and 1 tbsp of sea salt, and mixed with 300mls of warm water and 5 tbsp of olive oil. Knead it until its smooth (I used food mixer for this). Toss it in a little more oil, cover bowl with cling film and leave for about an hour until doubled in size. Knock it down and leave for about 10 mins while you prepare your flavourings. I ground about 3 tbsp of dried rosemary with a generous pinch of sea salt, about 2 cloves of garlic and a glug of olive oil with a pestle and mortar. Roll out the dough into the desired shape, make divets in it with your thumb and brush over your flavouring mix. Cover with a tea towel and leave for another half hour or so to go puffy, then bake for about 20 mins at 200 (you'll know its ready when it turns a nice brown colour, and it will puff up even more in the oven). Drizzle hot bread with even more olive oil and serve warm. As you can see lots of oil in it, so maybe not an everyday treat!0 -
We had a scan on the 17th Aug which put me roughly at 5 weeks, then one on monday which put me at 8 and 1/2 weeks.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j
