I have a silly question if anyone knows...
We bought an M&P bouncing cradle thingee and are playing with it. There's 2 settings: bounce & vibrate. Now vibrate obviously vibrates the thing, but what on earth does the 'bounce' setting do?? It doesn't seem to actually do anything other than make a low wirring noise!
Hi Aless
Is it the barnaby bear one? brown and cream with 3 bears hanging from it? This is what I have and it has both vibrate and heartbeat settings. the heartbeat one bounces quite a lot on mine though.
Can you find a link to it on the M&P website?

I am 39 weeks today!!! :j
Don't know where the time is going now. Been trying to write some sort of birth plan (thought it was about time I got round to that). Also been reading the birth story thread to scare myself some more. Have now looked out the steriliser to actually see how it works in case we need to use it.
I suppose I had better go and shower and get dressed now then do some more organising/cleaning.0 -

I've got that one - jack loves it.
The bounce is a bit fierce so he just has the vibrating one on for now.
I've got some pics so will post them when I've uploaded them.

I was just going to say, I couldn't find Aless's original post!??
We have the M&P bouncing cradle too (although it's a Winnie the Pooh one so must be last season's, but it's the exact same design/model). It's still in the box, but nice to know that Jack likes it! It was one of the cheaper ones, but I thought it was good enough and sturdy enough and was more than happy with it. Just hope our baby likes it too! x0 -
Hi Jolene,
If they didn't give you an EDD date based on your scan, it might be because it's too early to give a good estimation, so they might just have said 8 1/2 weeks as a ballpark figure rather than tying it down to dates. Maybe someone else who had an early scan would know better though as I am just guessing. You will get your 12 week scan in a few weeks, and have a better idea then I am sure.
Congratulations by the way - you must be delighted. Don't worry too much about the dates (they are rarely exact anyway!).

Hello,
I have another scan on the 5th Oct, which should put me at about 12 weeks. We had a scan on the 17th Aug which put me roughly at 5 weeks, then one on monday which put me at 8 and 1/2 weeks. My last period was 6th June, I have never been regular, so getting pregnant was a big shock and surprise, we have been trying for seven years for this to happen. :T

Really am going in a minute, but was just checking the bouncing chairs on the M&P website and noticed they now have an "OUTLET" section. I think that must be new as I haven't noticed it before.
Anyway, it seems to have some good bargains/reductions on there (only checked the maternity clothes and a couple of other sections in it). Just in case anyone is planning on M&P purchases, it might be worth checking.0 -
Sorry, I deleted the post because we figured out it just needed new batteries
Anyway, works fine now!

Well just back from Car Boot, was a little slow today so packed up and made off early and have the afternoon to ourselves. Still managed to make £80.10 so really pleased with that, and of course there is a lot less clutter in the house now (more room for bubs stuff hehe). Did manage to pick up a bath support (like this http://www.boots.com/en/Summer-Infant-Deluxe-Baby-Bather_868993/) for a bargain £1, its off to the inlaws tho as we already have one.
Think am gonna suggest going via tesco while we walk the dog in a mo, can pick up some ingriedients for twinks hob nobs. Been meanning to make them for ages but all this talk has me wanting them now lol.
