Loads of labour vibes for you Jam! Hope it all goes well :j
Morning all,
up early for me too, though I admit I'm tempted to try and go back to sleep - maybe a nap later if I can get rid of the acid reflux  Not a bad nights sleep though so thats fine
Got to make a list of what needs done today.....maybe a coffee first though....0 -
Morning all, big vibes to JAM so you can hopefully get your homebirth!
On the names front, my sister has had failed IVF and a MMC with a natural pregnancy so I asked her what her names would be with a view to steering well clear. Even if she never has a baby I wouldn't want her to have to live with a constant reminder of what she can't have through her neice/nephew.
We've not discussed names with anyone, they'll find out when its a done deal :rotfl: This is what I done with DD and I'm sure lots of people didn't like the name (Carmen) but by then too late!No way a scan at 5 weeks then one at 8 1/2 .......................... I've waited 5 weeks for first scan:mad::mad::mad: Soooooooooo jealous
Most folks get a BFP at 5/6wks then don't get a scan til 12 wksThats a 6/7 wk wait for most people. I paid to get a private scan at 7.5 wks and again at 16.5wks, so you can't always assume they are NHS scans.

ML I was convinced you'd have your bundle by now! Midwife coming after 8.30 to check it was my waters and not just my hind waters. Not really sure what I should be feeling now. Keep getting the feeling I'm desperate for a wee but if I sit tight, it goes away. Is this a contraction?
I assumed it would be all over my bump, not just at the bottom??
Will ask them when they come. Will keep checking in while I can xxxMy baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0 -
***vibes for ml- come on cub!!***0

Jam - heh heh, us too! DH had a stern word with Cub this morning for getting him all excited (and giving me 3 DAYS of contractions!) then having to go to work again!! My contractions mostly started at the top of the bump, though I did have some lower bump ones too - sounds like your body is gearing up
At least you know you'll have your LO within the day
Am hoping mine will break as that seems to be the only sure sign
Thanks, csh, all vibes gratefully received!
I spoke to the MWs yesterday afternoon and she said that sometimes the body kicks off labour then decides it's not ready, which may be what happened to me. 3 hours' sleep on Sat night with all the contractions but then everything stopped on Sunday bar a few light tightenings. All i can do she said is keep eating, drinking and moving and manage the pain with baths and paracetamol. I'm coping fine with the pain when it comes (gone now!) and eating/drinking never been a prob for meMFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

Hello,
Well we weren't sure how far along I was because my last period was 6th June, and I got my BFP on the 3rd August. Plus I have lots of other medical/health problems. I went to the midwife on the 12th and she referred me to a consultant, I wasn't expecting a scan at that appointment. They are amazing what you can see! I have another scan on the 5th Oct, which is exciting can't wait! :j
I am gettinf used to throwing up every morning now! But its still weird not knowing what I wan tto eat or what I wan tto do! My hormones are all over the place, some days I just feel like sitting down and crying! And the tirednes, that hits like a ton of bricks!

p.s it was NHS that I had the scans with.Bowel Disease (Ulcerative Colitis) since 1996 (quite possibly Crohn's Disease).0 -
