Well we weren't sure how far along I was because my last period was 6th June, and I got my BFP on the 3rd August. Plus I have lots of other medical/health problems. I went to the midwife on the 12th and she referred me to a consultant, I wasn't expecting a scan at that appointment. They are amazing what you can see! I have another scan on the 5th Oct, which is exciting can't wait! :j
p.s it was NHS that I had the scans with.
Glad my jealousy was rightly aimed. My last period was before June, i have a heart problem too although not serious more PITA lol Have not seen a MW or a doctor yet and the appointment i have waited 5 weeks for is an emergency/urgent dating appointment. I had to change GP just to see a nurse to get checked over. You are very lucky.

Vibes to all that need them and stay strong nikki even my family are routing for you!

  • Good luck Jam and ML :)

Well I slept in the spare room again last night as found bump the most uncomfortable it has been so far, actually started wedging the pillow under it for the first time. I do wonder if it was cos I did too much yesterday so deffo gonna take things a bit easier now and not try and fit so much into one day, lol!!

Baby is moving lots in the night and now so pleased about that just for reassurance.

Grr I have to fax off my BUPA claim form for the £150 preg payout again today as I rang to chase the cheque on Friday and they hadnt received it. Glad I kept a photocopy now!!

    xx

  • Morning bumpsters,

Labour vibes to ML and Jam!

Im off work today, its the first of my shortened weeks so Ive made myself a list of jobs to do. Half are household essential things then half are 'nice' things like card making and possibly starting some cross stitch. Ive just put some rubbish out though and someones put needles in our bin  They were emptied on friday and this is the first thing Ive put in since and theres already 3 carrier bags of rubbish been dumped and loads of needles. Ive rang the council and their sending someone to remove them thankfully.

Hope everyones feeling well today and bumps arent causing too many aches and pains x

    Morning ladies & bumps,

Congrats Jolene - sounds like you've had an uphill struggle so far so I hope the next 7 months fly by easily :)

32b I know what you mean, I've a couple of health issues, one more serious than the other but the Dr's couldn't have cared less. I think it depends on whose care you fall under as to whether they'll be any good, my consultant has turned out to be carp.

Labour vibes for ML & JAM, looking forward to hearing stories of newborns very soon :)

Thanks for the info on the playmat mummy2mygirls, I really like it think it's pretty though OH said he's not convinced it's quite right for a boy (pah!) so will wait for now though if it does happen to come up in one of the local stores I'll get it :) I think the cushion bit is what's selling it to me as our lounge & kitchen diner is all hard wooden floor so not ideal for the usual quite soft playmats. I absolutely adore the name Freya btw, it's on our list :)

Fitz, Lucas is a lovely name another that is on our list of possibilities :)

CSH I think I'm gonna follow suit and just stop telling people our names now, Carmen is really pretty and unusual without being weird, I think it's lovely.

I love all this name talk! I love the name Toby, and Tobin is good too.

Toby is a lovely name :)
At the mo we have Lily for a girl and Harry for a boy (so far) we always said Lily if it was a girl, but we keep changing our mind about the boys name.

Whoever said about there in laws insulting names, my own mum done that lol. I mentioned we liked Kasper and Dexter as boys names, and she said "well i thought you two would call your child a freaky name, your freaks as it is"
Which brings me to, me and my mum are still not talking. She tried to bring my sister over to the dark side (:rotfl:) but my sister stuck up for me (:j) and said i was being fair now my mum is being a btch to her to ()
She's now got to the point of slagging off OH and OH's parents, she hates me being near them for some reason

Ooooh Labour Vibes for ML and JAM!!! :D I hope your babies come out shortly! :) Best of luck xx

Ah i remember what i needed to ask. Me and OH are going to get a 'from birth' pushchair instead of a travel system now.

Can anyone recommened any good ones? I've look in the argos and tesco catalouges (all i had to hand lol) and they all look rubbish in there :( and only have 1 or 2 'from birth' ones.

Haha, with each post i reveal more and more of my geekyness :D
  • Lucas, Isaac, Noah and Niall were all on our boys name list. I think their all lovely names and really struggle to pick a favourite from them. We've also stopped telling people the names we've picked for the belly monkey. My mum said 'I cant pronounce that' which is just tough, she'll have to learn if thats the one we go with! (I thought she'd like it because it sounds slightly french and my parents live in France!)
