Well mid wife has just been and gone. It was definately my waters and I just gotta wait for the stronger contractions now. Got to monitor my temp every two hours and call them when contractions are every few minutes. I also have an appointment for tomorrow morning for induction if I haven't started naturally.
Off to wander up and down the garden as the one thing I didn't get was a gym ball! lol
I'll be back....... xxx

EA - we've got the bugaboo bee, which is from birth and four wheels...
Thanks for the vibes ladies... things have gone very quiet in there at mo (you know when kids go quiet it's always suspicious!) Wondering what she's up to!
Names - I don't know why ppl feel entitled to pass judgement on names - if you can't say anything nice, or even neutral, say nowt, or at least reply with a question rather than a statement (like that's interesting, where's it from? or something) Can't believe some mums were told to change the name! Personally, I don't think anyone can 'baggsy' names either - let's face it, there are always going to be other kids with the same or similar name so get over it, it's not their copyright or something! I haven't actually met anyone with cub's name yet having said that - not that that was the reason for choosing it.MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

Good luck JamBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
Hi girls
I've got my first doctors appointment this afternoon, not too sure what to expect from it. Will she want me to do a test while I'm there? Going off my last period I think I'm 6 weeks.
Had a bit of a stressful week as I've been spotting since last Monday. From my searching on google it appears to be normal. Did another test (my 4th lol!!) this morning and the line came up instantly so I think that's a good sign that my hormone levels are high and bean is sticking for now.
I totally agree with keeping names to yourself - when I was ttc I told my best mate (who really is the best mate anyone could ever want it every other way) my two fave girls name - Bethany and Briony. She came straight back with one makes me think of a lisp and the other of brine and has totally put my off Briony nowMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

don't expect anything - seriously. if you have another medical condition you may get a bit more attention. but most of us on here have had--- 'ok, make an appointment with the midwife for when you are about 8 weeks'
they are never as excited as we are!!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Morning all,
EA – The McLaren Techno XLR gets the best reviews everywhere. It’s not cheap for a pushchair, but it seems to be brilliant. I think Somnium and someone else on here (maybe Always??) are getting one. It definitely seems to be the top rated pushchair and is suitable from birth.
Jam and ML – Labour vibes to both of you! Hope things keep moving for you Jam and you get your home birth. Then it’s your turn for the pool ML!
Lots of lovely names floating around. Most of them have been on our list at one point or another! We started with a list each and compared, so have probably considered most names ha ha! I have been telling DH since the start not to discuss names with anyone for fear of them putting us off them, but he said he wouldn’t care. Now he does care and it’s put him off his favourite (sorry EA, it was Felix!!). Don’t mind sharing them on here so much as I don’t know you all and can’t see your real reactions lol.
Baby was moving like mad last night, so I was on all fours rocking like mad and bouncing up and down on the gym ball. I was sure it was trying to move down, and my bump was a really weird shape. Now I am not sure – I just hope I haven’t bounced the baby back up the way! Got midwife appointment at lunch time so will see what she says then.
When do people normally start getting sweeps from their midwife? Is it only after they go overdue?0
